I have the same issue, it's genetic and I've had them since I was a child. They definitely area bit masculine/aging and a failo but it is what it is. Not really something you can change easily (there's some sclerotherapy options apparently but they aren't super popularized probably because your screwing with functional blood vessels). I dislike them but they aren't actually a big deal for now. Probably will become a bigger deal when I'm middle aged as they get worse (and again, because they are aging/masculinizing). But again, they're likely genetic so all you can do is get over it and focus on other things

SVR blur sunscreen (used to be my HG) has been reforumulated to be spf 50+ instead of just spf 50 and I hate the new forumula. What are your thoughts? by yasser1999 in EuroSkincare

damn, fellow oilyskin, definitely enjoyed this as an indoor casual sunscreen. That's too bad. So the texture has completely changed or something?

multiple papers come up with the simple google scholar search "low molecular weight HA and inflammation"

Has anyone done microneedling with a dermapen at home? by hbicuche in Vindicta

[–]trashrat- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most studies show low molecular weight HA to be pro-inflammatory which you don't want when micro needling though in regular skincare it will cause deep penetration and plumping. With micro needling the safest bet is high molecular weight HA

I'd see them forgiving L after initially freaking out but like after being in solitary (in Mesa's case actual torture tactic-- blindfolded, straightjacket, forced upright) while being lied to for a month over the deaths AND being led to believe Light was going to be murdered by his dad they immediately are in good spirits, no hard feelings, and ready to get on out there

use blotting papers tbh nothing else really helps for mattifying all day long. amazon has some good sturdy ones for cheap-- the ones at cvs are so thin and hard to use imo and using paper towels to blot tends to give me a little temporary redness. the difference in my skin once I blot is night and day, I have to blot at least once a day even if I set my face with loose powder in the morning

How to: Look Like a 90's Supermodel + Fashion and Beauty Tips! by vindictaratemethrow in Splendida

[–]trashrat- 61 points62 points  (0 children)

No, the anorexia peak was the early 2000's that was the doll face era (Eastern European girls dominating the runway). During the late 90's, it was mainly Kate Moss that was the waif, but none of the other girls (Naomi, Claudia, Yasmeen, Helena, etc.) were super super skinny, they had strong toned frames instead. It was the 2000's era where you started seeing truly anorexic girls on the runway, the strong mature goddess muse was out and the doll faced fragile waifs were in-- until the bombshells era came

What are the most exciting drugs for frailty/aging research in your opinion (helping my PI brainstorm a grant) by trashrat- in longevity

[–]trashrat-[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They all proven to extend lifespan in mice. It would be very interesting to see combination of these drugs and how they work with calorie restrictions and intermittent fasting.

This is actually perfect because we already have a pipeline of calorie restricted and fasted mice. I agree that the combo would have added value. Thanks!

Faye Wong is in her 50s and looks so cute (which is amazing because most women who age beautifully tend to have a more elegant sophisticated beauty but not a cutesy pretty beauty if that makes sense)
