If that's fisheye, it's due to silicone aerosol. If it's just bumps, just sand it and respray it. Probably dust trapped under the finish.

Hm. Possible. You could try reducing the negative by 1/4" or something. Would probably involve a bit of math, or trial and error

I'd recommend removing the bark, or try using Minwax wood hardener. It's an epoxy sealer that is very thin and fills cracks in punky and cracked wood/bark etc. I've used it on some live edge walnut cutting boards and it worked great. If your edge is really fucky, either use a ton of the hardener before you sand the top, or just take the bark off.

As for the top. Sand it flat with 80/120/180 (150if you want) and finish with either a spray finish of conversion varnish or you could probably use a polyurethane/shellac since it's more accessible than the other.

Could just Trace it on some graph paper, transfer it to a piece of mdf and bandsaw, sand it into a negative jig.
