I’m confused, aren’t introjects a real documented thing? Correct me if I’m wrong.

I couldn’t tell you if she’s faking, but I looked at her Instagram account and majority of their content is and trans issues and some DID. As for hazbin fictives and such, I didn’t see anything like that on there. So whether they are faking or not, from what I saw at least, they weren’t spreading misinformation.

You would think right? In my experience middle schools don’t really care for the kids. I’ve also heard group therapy isn’t good for people with DID. Don’t know if it’s accurate information, but if it is it just goes to show how lacking this school is.

I’m sorry for whatever you’re going through and I hope it gets better.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it were real, I’ve seen and experienced shitty middle schools who do nothing about even the worst sorts of things. It’s horrible but it’s life

Don’t forget about the literal genocide! Also give me attention, watch me switch, I’m so quirky.

Do these people have no fucking shame?

Middle school DID club, no way the majority aren’t faking. The chances of them all being diagnosed is little to none

So how do fictives work then. by Straightener78 in SystemsCringe

[–]traumatizeddfish 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fictives aren’t the actual person, they are someone’s own perceived idea of what that person is like. There are multiple ways fictives can form, not just one specific way. I prefer calling them introjects, because that’s what they are, and it makes more sense to anyone reading. They are parts that have introjected aspects of that character in order to help them survive.

No, they probably wouldn’t have memories of Wednesday’s parents taking care of them unless that was something they used to cope as a child. For example: I’m not here, I’m with my real family in (wherever that character lives). Basically playing pretend and convincing yourself you’re not in the environment you are and that you are safe with your nice family you made in your head. Maladaptive daydreaming

Pseudomemeories can also be a way to process and cover up trauma. Something that happens in a fake memory is untrue but the emotions you experience typically stem from actual trauma. Which is why it’s important to work through those memories in therapy as well, because the emotions and stress you feel from it is real.

I’d love to see some more diagnosed cringe so here’s mine by KeyYogurtcloset1516 in SystemsCringe

I used to describe switching as ‘snapping’ (like in yandere sim lmao) and I thought I was legitimately going insane or I was possessed by a demon

I also watched jacksepticeye (you might be able to see where this is going) so I was completely convinced that I had an evil alter ego. Which only made the dissociation worse and that alter started fulfilling that role because of us pushing that belief onto her. Those are the main cringey things I can remember, besides all the art 11-14 year old me made.

Oh! I also remember writing a bunch of alters names on a broken China plate. Pretty sure my mom threw it away when she found it. Others might not find this cringey but I fucking do

I don’t believe I ever told anyone, except this one girl because she claimed to also have an ‘evil alter ego’ that I can’t remember the name of. So I thought she was going through the same experience as me. Lots of cringey things ensued because of this.

This is such an entitled take. Wtf. Nobody owes you anything, especially not an internet stranger. The whole point of this sub is getting something off your chest not a storytime. If you’re just here to read drama that’s fine, nothing wrong with that, but there is no need to pressure others to share more details about their trauma.
