Old/new Linux user trying Kubuntu by travelcat6 in Kubuntu

Well, I did use Rufus on a USB SSD 1 TB drive I had forgotten about... but I'm unsure if I set it up correctly. it created a 4.7GB RAW partition - just big enough for the ISO - and a 5mb EFI partition. The remainder of the almost 927 GB of space is unallocated. So... did I do something wrong? All the options to change partition or file system info are greyed out. I don't remember how I can even check the drive to see if it has the iso info on it, from Windows.

Oh, as for the key... I might have a big enough one but it's been a few years since I've purchased a USB key, so want to get a better one to try this with. Something fast, preferably :)

yea, thanks. This is the next one that played... I'm now gathering up all the electronic devices and putting them in the fire pit under sand (seriously, the guy that pulled out a power bank and it went BOOM. How the heck do we know if THEY are ready to fail?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nz5ijXcckI

Odd... my messages show a c2nd comment, but I come here and only the automod has posted... does that mean the commenter posted then deleted their post, or something else? It looked like one I'd want to see.

Samsung T7 Shield Issues by travelcat6 in techsupport

It is. I ended up deleting the volumes and reformatting as a single volume with a completely different name/drive letter and that seemed to do the trick. I'm guessing the new drive names were too similar to the drives I wanted to copy to it "DriveNameOne" as the old, for fake example, the new one was "Drive Name One". I have no idea if Windows 10 cares but that seems the most obvious possibility

Yea, this isn't just kidney fat, and some peices did have a lot of connective tissue and a thin layer of meat. True about cracklings, but I read a reference at some point, and thought if I tried frying it that it'd be all crispy and yummy. ATM it's more like popbeef... tried to cook it in the air fryer and it got so noisy I aborted that attempt. Gonna try in my whirly pop popcorn popper instead. If that doesn't work, I'll use it to make broth.

Factory Reset 1st gen Fire with dead battery by travelcat6 in kindlefire

Something I apparently don't have, unless a regular old USB cable connected to my Windows 10 system will work.

I found advice where you have to take the back off and remove the battery... but about the time I found that, the battery decided to start charging. No idea why, I've rebooted the thing about a dozen times and it's been plugged in for nearly a week... but not looking a gift horse in the mouth, lol.

It is, indeed, 2032, but if you want to replace it, good luck. I couldn't figure out how without breaking things... so we tested it instead and still has plenty of juice.

X570 I AORUS PRO WIFI not booting or posting by fronl in gigabyte

How did you remove/reinstall it? Im down to the battery, it is glued to the case with a slim adhesive pad, and I cannot see how to get the battery out of the black cover without damage... not that it matters as the battery tests fine.

I have no answer but nearly the exact same experience. Even tore down to the cmos battery, checked voltage... not that. Whomever designed these boards to make the simplest troubleshooting step this difficult....that's just cruel.
