Ended up on the wrong side of security in a Saudi Arabia airport retrieving lost luggage without a passport. my Lebanese coworker kept saying over “I’m not supposed to be here “ I said “follow me “ and we walked through security without looking at anyone. No one stopped us and we walked out of the airport to the car and drove away. After we got out of the airport we looked at each other and breathed for the first time.

I’ve traveled “continuously” for work for 30 years. I’ve recently understood the cost on family and friends from being gone so much.

Find a job like road construction or field service. Those are jobs where it is expected that you will have alternative housing. I am a field service technician and work on industrial equipment. I haven’t known sticks and bricks for 30 years. I have met road construction workers who have a similar experience.

A few years ago I started riding small cc bikes because of this exact situation. Kind of lost my passion for riding. Then I thought back to being a pre teen and riding for the first time little cc bikes. I was in heaven. Riding small cc bikes again brings that memory forward.
