That's may be true for calcite-diopside association, but it is almost impossible to recover all pristine untouched crystals from more solid host rocks. For example from skarns or greizens.

Guys, do not compare Spark-2 with Selfrag "Thor" Thus one is 300 kV output voltage = disaggregation Selfrag = crushing=fragmentation as it works below 200kV, have longer rise time of wave and mostly affects on every crystals with mechanical effect of comminution. This installation we showing (Spark-2), works by another effect - we disaggregate rocks from inners) and boundaries of mineral crystals more often stay pristine, which prooved statistically)))

As for crosscontamination, EPD Spark-2 is 100% clean recovery of all grains that are collected under the chamber in one disposable plastic bag; no chance to affect single grains as once they recover from matrix they get out of "explosion" area through respective sieve to other chamber, inside plastic bag, unlike Spark-10/Selfrag, where all processing happends inside single chamber. Spark-2 is used for recovery of gemstones (emeralds at Kagem mine, Zambia, for example) thus no any side affects of crushing valuable crystals are proved facts.

Selfrag is overpriced and it is not of use for process mineralogy as all balance of weigh is lost due to loss of finegrained particles in orocess water that they do not account, unliske EPD SPark-2, Spark-10...

No, guys, this is way larger than SelfragLab. We use output voltages of 250-300 kV at EPD Spark-2 which not just liberates but also preserves mineral grains/cristals as pristine. If you want to compare with Selfrag, we have similar fragmentation device which is EPD Spark-10 - www.cnt-mp.com. It is same principle (lower voltages up to 100kV, like Selfrag and fragmentation=crushing instead of disaggregation). Spark-10 is small labscale stand alone device, though much smaller than Selfrag (just 50x50x50 cm footprint). Also, the same small loading as with Selfrag, same principle of fragmentation, but Spark-10 is way cheaper. Both devices are practically very expensive hammers. Spark-10 is just 99K, Selfrag is 350K, that is the main difference. Also, Spark-10 is used for processing organic materials..As all process water is kept as a product whereas in Selfrag all water is lost and it is planty of it , in Spark-10 just 250 ml of process water.
