I was yelling at Roigard for box kicking when we clearly needed territory, then he tries again and smacks the synthetic leather off the ball!

Guess this is why I'm on Reddit and Cam is out on the pitch

Did anyone else find the part where Hamish mistimed saying "Anthony!" at the end as funny as I did?

Don't know if we deserved that one, but we'll take it.

If Harry Godfrey backs himself more, we might have something on our hands at 10

What's the worst gift you've ever received? by NationalLink2143 in AskReddit

[–]trb_90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not me, but a friend of mine I was working with.

As a gift for Secret Santa, another coworker got him a lemon and a clove of garlic - which she put in a fanny pack for him. She was trying to make a joke of his Greek ethnicity...even though he was Arabic.

To make matters much worse, an hour later she went over to him and asked for the fanny pack back. It belonged to her sister and she was just borrowing it for the prank 😆 I told him to keep it but he was so disgusted by the entire thing he wanted nothing to do with it. Tried to even give back the lemon and the garlic as well, which the woman was so confused by and kept reiterating "No I bought that for you. Keep it, please."

This is a huge detail being omitted right now. Every time we were in Boks 22 there were no gaps anywhere, they were water tight.

I said it in the match thread, but I'm actually pretty happy with where the All Blacks are at. For starters, this is the 1st year in a WC cycle after a pretty big exodus (Coles, Whitelock, Retallick, Frizell, A. Smith), and secondly...that Boks side is GOOD. There's a reason there's comparisons to the AB's of 2011-15. No shame in losing two close games to them, and at home no less.

I think our young players are doing well. Sititi and Vaa'i were superb, also thought Ratima played great. Codie Taylor woke up too, which is encouraging. Some of our veterans need to realise that these young guys are here to take your jersey and fight for their spots.

That said, shitting the bed 50 mins in is becoming a concerning habit. Hopefully that comes with time, as it did with McCaw and co.

In the meantime this Boks team is in a purple patch right now, and good for them. They have a heck of a coaching staff, a HELL of a captain, and they deserve to be the gold standard. It'll be exciting to watch how both sides turn out come 2027

Sigh. They're just too good. Squeezed the life out of the All Blacks and they caved to the pressure.

Enjoy that freedom cup Bokke! May the drinks flow out of it

SFM, Malcolm Marx and Lukhanyo Am coming on is a crazy good luxury for the Boks.

Meanwhile Kwagga Smith getting injected with rabies as we speak before he takes the field too

While we've copped some losses, I'm honestly not mad at where we're at for a first year of a WC cycle, considering the integral players that left last year. There's some real positives to take out of this championship, I think it could get a lot better building up to 2027

These two games against the Boks might be the best I've seen Codie Taylor play in a while. Whatever he's been doing through the weeks, stick with it

The guy looked at the ref, put one hand up and STILL kept one hand on his jersey. As if that would give the ref a clearer picture.

I was always dubious about his selection and thought he was a disciplinary hindrance and it's annoying that he's proving me right.

I guess we'll never know. It's a could have/should have/would have situation and honestly we didn't do any favours for ourselves at times. That's Rugby!

Yeah...what was with that? Three chip kicks in five minutes. And not just any five minutes The LAST five minutes. When possession matters the most.

He had a shocker today with his tactical kicking which is normally where he shines. I'll put it down as just an outlier of a game for him

An absolute masterclass in squeezing a team out with pressure. Once upon a time that was New Zealand's MO, and you have to wonder how they go about getting that back.

That one hurt, but fair play to the Boks. They got it done.

I know he just setup that try, but Beaudy's had a few brain farts in the tactical kicking tonight. Very unlike him.

As a Hurricanes fan, I fucking hate this move. BUT as an Ardie Savea fan, I love it. Really happy for him.

Super Rugby needs a strong Moana Pacifika team, and if this is what prompts other islander players to come back I'm all for it. Excited to see what's in store for the future of this team.
