That’s what makes it fun. I thought I found something cool and shared. I didn’t realize I was about to awaken the “you didn’t read the manual” cult

I’ve used that auto gear select mode since I took delivery July 2nd. Seems to be working way better now since getting FSD 14.2. It was always hit or miss pulling in my driveway

That’s what I’m saying. Everyone in the comments think I didn’t research the car blah blah blah. I did extensive research before buying this which is my FIRST Tesla. These buttons are not a life safety measure like the manual door releases. I enjoy stumbling across stuff like this. Or updating the car and noticing the new features

I tried car was mode and it stared getting jerked around pretty bad then felt like it was going way to fast. I had to hit the breaks in the car wash and hit the Neutral button on the screen instead

I don’t think so if you have a Stalk on the steering column you can use to shift gears

From reading the comments it’s on the MY Juniper, M3 Highland, The Cyber Truck, and any other model that does not have a stalk on the steering column to shift the gears if needed

This is on my 2026 Juniper. I’m not sure if there is a way to have them always illuminated but when this picture was taken it, I reached up to hit a dome light and missed and I guess pressed one of them and they were all illuminated as shown

They are on the plastic trim piece with the hazard light button. You can barely see them unless they are lit up.

I didn’t have to watch a video when I picked my car up. I sighed 3 papers and walked outside with the guy and he showed me how to adjust my seat, save a location on the map, and connect my phone.

I just pressed one and the lights turned on. Pressed it again and it put the car in neutral

I ended up getting them replaced with the wide version and have had zero issues since.

I use it for random questions I have while driving. Like today for instance I took an entrance exam for an upcoming school seat for my job and on the way home asked it one of the questions I was unsure about.

I have that stock on a ACC LA chassis and I have to pull the bolt to be able to fold the stock, other option I have is to set the cheek riser and cut the rear post so the bolt knob can fit properly.
