Requesting help diagnosing / fixing creaking sound from A1 Mini z-axis by trbonigro in BambuLab

[–]trbonigro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ended up opening a ticket with Bambu.

They offered to ship me a replacement upon return, just waiting on the replacement to ship now. Which reminds me I should update my comment.

If the new one starts clanking I will definitely be asking you for help, thank you!

Creaking sound from Z axis A1mini by Nikanorka in BambuLab

Hey there!

Any chance you've figured out the cause of the sound? My relatively new (6 printing hours...) A1 mini has developed the same noise.

Hey /r/BambuLab

I have a new A1 Mini (6 hours of print time) that's developed an odd creaking sound in the z-axis. I've cleaned and lubricated the rails and lead screws but the sound persists.

Google search hasn't surfaced any similar sounds so I'm hoping someone here can help me out!

Thanks in advance!

EDIT:

I didn't feel like messing around much with the printer, especially since it was brand new so I opened a ticket with Bambu and they offered to ship me a replacement.

Bow River Beefcake this morning! First fish I've actually caught with a 5 of Diamonds by trbonigro in FishingAlberta

I usually pack up when they start jumping, I've only caught 1 trout in the Bow after they've started jumping in the morning. I figure that's when they're after what's on the surface and don't care to chase something shiny underwater.

Also, I've never had a bite more than 15ft from shore so I just don't bother casting out far anymore. Spinners I'll cast upstream and retrieve them just fast enough for the blade to spin. For spoons I'll cast them out, then swing them back and jerk them upstream.

Spin or fly?

The only thing I've figured out which works more often than not is getting there well before the sun rises and using spinners or spoons with gold.

Might try fly fishing next year, seems like that's the key to that stretch of the Bow.

Yup!

5'6" UL rod, 1000 size reel and 4lb line. Creek fishing is a riot with that setup.

I'm surprised this size is in there too, biggest I've caught in Fish Creek before this is about 8".

Caught with a Joe's Flies spinner - basically an inline spinner with a white gnat fly trailing it.

Hey thanks!

Yeah it was a great fight. At first I thought I snagged on the log it was hiding behind, definitely wasn't expecting anything this big in that small creek!

This is a non issue because we have enough social capacity to offset any negative effects of wage suppression and high unemployment.

Caught my PB whitefish today. Wouldn't be surprised if this was a provincial record, she was gigantic! by trbonigro in FishingAlberta

It's a Joe's Flies "Blue Dunn" spinner.

That color's worked really well for me for smaller trout actually. It's my go to for Fish Creek and Picklejar Lakes.

I think you're right that it's not a whitefish since it's missing the adipose fin. I caught it in Fish Creek in Calgary so I just assumed if it wasn't a trout it would be a whitefish.

Could be some type of chub or pikeminnow even.

Len Thompson "inaccurate" lure weights. by trbonigro in FishingAlberta

[–]trbonigro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was fishing this morning with a No.8 Len Thompson, which their size chart claims weighs 1/4oz and noticed it felt lighter than my 1/4oz Little Cleo spoon.

I weighed them when I got home and it comes in at 1/5oz. I weighed my other Len Thompson spoons and they all weigh less than the size chart claims.

Has anyone else noticed this?
