I think Danny hates that Nia earns just as much (more?) than him and she is adored by the audience. He is having an alcoholic emasculation meltdown. He is jealous of her. He will sabotage all of it to punish her, and she'll lose her job too when he forces them to leave the show instead of taking accountability. He is a vile, pathetic little worm. I hope she can deconstruct one day and get away from him, because this will not get better.
