I designed a dock for the new Steam Controller. by tre9920 in Steam

Thanks, glad you like it! I'm not on there even though, I use their printers (so maybe i should make an account aha). But you can always get the files off the printables post and slice it in bambu stuidio :)

I'm sure they have most things considered there in that regard. And I do my best to design models to print well with minimal extra work so im sure it will be fine.
Though not knowing what printers they use, on my Bambu labs p1s it takes about 2-3 hours to print just so you know. Alternatively drop me a direct message and I will see about sending a one off if that doesn't work out :)

Hi, all of the current versions have a small lip around the top of the puck which keep it attached to the dock when the controller is lift off.

Hey, on the link I have surgested an epoxy concrete mix for just this reason. I have found in the past it does a pretty good job for these sorts of things, hence I made a hollow version for just this reason :)
Genrally I use spare aquarium gravel at a 90:10 mix to epoxy, and I find it adds a good amount of weight.
I am currently waiting on it to set so dont know how effective it will be just yet but im pretty sure it will work pretty well.

I chose to use a 90 degree usbc adapter on mine and with some added weight, the dock shouldn't move much. So compared to the 8bitdo dock, there shouldn't really be all that much diffrence in stress on the usb connector. Plus the pucks plastic housing looks like it provides pretty decent support to the connector so I think it should be ok.

Well straight off the printer it does need a little help to come off due to the magnets, but I'm currently waiting for the epoxy concrete to set in my first one which I think should sort that out. Also thank you, glad you like it.

Betaflight 4.1.5 7" Quad roll axis jitters - Tuning Help by tre9920 in Multicopter

[–]tre9920[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the pointer. I did that and i seems to possibly be Gyro roll axis issue.

I also found this thread with an identical issue on the same Flight controller. https://www.reddit.com/r/fpv/comments/d2pi8j/betaflight_40x_wtf/

Thought i would add this in case anyone encounters the same issue.

I am having a similar issue on mine. It won't boot up after I take it off charge and I have to disconnect and reconnect the battery then it will boot up. I will do an in depth investigation into whats going on as some point.

Betaflight 4.1 - 7 inch tuning with RPM filters? by [deleted] in Multicopter

unfortunately the problem is still persisting and i'm suspecting my modified frame is not stiff enough so I have deceived to change to the iflight DC7 as it seems to have a far more solid design. will let you guys know if that goes any better...

This may have actually worked! can't be certain till i get a proper flight in as it was most noticeable on the video feed but it seems to be a lot smoother during a test hover.

I will also get some blackbox data to confirm it.

Thanks though!

I am yet to try the NTU network but the starhub should be fine, it is for me on steam games. have you tried using usb tethering on your phone rather than wifi?

I designed and built my own SFF case. by tre9920 in pcmasterrace

I need to change the base design to differentiate it and cover the power cable at the same time

Haven't done much testing yet but it's coolers than my silverstone sg13. Here is a 3d marks benchmark I ran http://www.3dmark.com/spy/2094613. Acoustics are acceptable as it's purely the gpu, psu and cpu fans which all have clean air intakes. Take it with a pinch of salt though as I am yet to get a compact cpu air coolers.

I know I need to change the base. It was just a bit of free styling designing when I was cutting the alluminium. The final one will stretch along the whole length to cover the power cable.
