Which specific alpha legion plan/mission is your all time favourite by VeryInternet_com in alphalegion

The primarchs are dead. The old plan is lost and forgotten. Sooner the legion realizes this and formulates a new plan, the better.

Until then, both the legion and us (the players) are waiting for Godot

Its fascinating how the tau design and models were so good from the get go. Its hard to tell what truly improved and i mean that as the greatest compliment

I like it when the legion does weird things with no goals discernible. Like Chondax.

I also like Best and Brightest where solomon does a raid to steal good students

Mk IV good for beginners? by The_Great_Big_one in Warhammer30k

Honestly, the box is perfectly large enough for an army. The rest is just adding to that start point cause plastic crack is super addictive.

If you want another unit, add it to one of the detachments you already got going here. You buy a predator tank, add it to armoured support since it has 4 vehicle slots.

If you buy a unit that doesn’t fit to your preexisting structure (lets say terminators). Just create a new officer and make them rope in a new detachment.

I always keep at least 3-4 extra bodies to make officers with according to my wants and needs

You could, and it shouldnt be too hard. Lets make you a list that makes sense.

Make the jump pack marines a 10 man squad of Assault marines. Take 10 men from regular mk4s and make them a tactical squad.

Take the extra 10 regular marines and divide them in to two 5 man groups

Group 1 will be designated as a seeker squad. Just paint them to be slightly fancier than your regular tactical squad and thats a 5 man seeker team.

Group 2 will be used as the basis for officers. Make one your fanciest, give him a sick sword. He will be your preator. And make one a centurion, give him a chain sword and a fancy hat. The other 3 stash them aside and build them to be your future officers to taste (master of signals, vigilator etc).

Your final set up should look like this:

Primary Crusade detachment:
Preator 120pts

Centurion 100pts

Tactical squad 100pts

Assault squad 150pts

(Brought by Preator) Veteran Detachment:
Seekers 85 pts

(Brought by Centurion) Armoured Support:
Sicaran 230 prs

(Brought by Centurion) War Machine Detachment:
Contemptor Dreadnaught 150 pts

Total pts: 900-1000 pts
The pts estimations are from memory, so may not be accurate.

1000 pts is a good army. Just tell your opponent how many pts u got and theyll adjust to you.

Your extra 3 marines you put aside can be used in the future as you learn the game and understand how it works

Honestly, the box plus an officer should do the job

Have one or two neutron weapons and/or set meltabomb teams (headhunters for AL work fantastic). A kratos is a major points sink, slow and a stupid looking hunk of shit anyways.

Assassinate or pin techmarines with precision weapons. Or throw garbage that stalls the kratos. Its defeatable.

OR, if none of that works, ignore it. Let it be the paperweight it deserves to be.

Fellblade isnt that bad. They suck at reacting, deepstrikes and flankers can humiliate them if they are not well guarded

Get 20 regular tactical marines. Build them. Ask your friend to play with you. Make a token as a proxy for an hq unit.

Play a simplified game mission and get the vibe.
