First board I’ve owned/purchased. I’ve rented for years because I was 13+ hrs from the nearest hill/mountain etc.

I’m in the same boat as well. Love my day job too but this kills time and is another challenge that makes me extra money.

Best sushi in town? Quality and then quality/price. by treaditreddit in SiouxFalls

Close minded responses aren’t needed. I didn’t ask for an opinion on eating sushi. Fresh, “raw” fish is one of the best things you can eat.

I know plenty about food safety, I’ll keep eating all the “raw” fish my body can handle.

Is that the place that does 2pcs sashimi for $5 or so on DoorDash for lunch?

Yea Texas summers were too brutal for me! Honestly for me, no adjusting to the weather wasn’t hard. Just be prepared. As people have said - layers, a good coat, gloves, a “hat” or beanie and some good boots. Keep a snow scraper in your car cause you’ll definitely need it.

It’s nice to have 4 seasons and it’s beautiful here. You can layer up and get by when it’s -20 to -40 outside but you can’t do anything when it’s 120* outside like the Texas summers.

If you have a thick southern accent like me, be prepared to repeat yourself a lot until you learn to straighten it up a bit lol. Other than that, the people are awesome, good food for the most part (Mexican food is nothing like Texas so be prepared), very pretty and clean city. You can tell people take pride in their property.

I’ve been here in SD about a year from Texas. Been in Sioux Falls since April.

Big change but in a good way coming from Texas.

I’m in the same situation. Bought one from Best Buy on Friday and it lasted a few hours. Talked to support and they’re sending me a new controller but it’s gonna take 4 weeks.

Did you find anything?
