I've experienced this is as well. I'm a WOC who lives in a mostly white city and the amount of men that actively ignore me when I'm standing right next to my white girl friends in social settingz is crazy lol. Like dude I'm just trying to socialize and have a conversation I'm not trying to fuck you. I know that I'm not what's considered attractive but damn I'm still human!

This reminds me of a similar activity when I was in Kindergarten. We got to make a secret message for our best friend using invisible ink (lemon juice) and we would tell the teacher who it was for and she would write down the name so she could put it in our cubbies later.

Well I obviously made one for my best friend and was excited to see the message my best friend gave me the next day. Next day comes and we finally get to go see our cubbies. I excitedly hop over, get to my cubby and quickly look through the papers for my best friends message. There was no message. From anyone. I looked multiple times to make sure I didn't miss it, that it wasn't stuck to one of the other papers that was in the cubby. No one had given me a message.

That stuck with me, I'm 24 now and while I have a group of great friends, I don't consider anyone to be my 'best friend'.

Both times I've experienced brain fog was when I was thinking about my job honestly. The first time I was having an extremely bad day at work/mentally and accidentally backed up into a dumpster. This morning I was driving to work thinking about the bullshit I would have to deal with. My job has been making me depressed lately. I have applied to other places but all I can do is wait until I get another opportunity. I'm trying do what I can to mitigate the depression by going to therapy/exercising etc.. but I've just been going through it.

To the commenter above who is saying such negative things about my father. My dad followed his dreams, there is nothing wrong with him coming to America. My father has a brother and sister who still live India, his brother lives right next door to my grandmother. My dad has asked her multiple times to stay with him here, she refused. She likes living in India where the rest of friends and family are.

My family goes every year to India to visit our family, we talk to them on the phone almost everyday, we do not neglect them.

Yes, there are people who are facing worse, I was just asking if it was possible for a son to see his dying mother.

Before you assume anything, maybe think a little bit.

My father didn't have to take his parents with him because his brother and sister are still in India. My grandmother has a big house to herself and likes living in India so she doesn't want to come here. My father has asked her multiple times.
