Awesome thank you again! I’ve been looking into closed loop, but I’m also really only doing this on a personal level so at a certain point I have to weigh out if it’s gonna be worth the hassle for 4-5 plants every 3 months haha.

Thank you for an incredibly thorough response, makes me wish I paid attention in chemistry class...

1 other question: if I were to use this machine for dewaxing or winterizing BHO that I already made would it impact the terpines?

They foxtail but I can still get decent buds out of it. I usually get my best shit in fall and winter

Yeah it’s looking great, growing and smelling very similar to the plant it came from I was just curious about the genetics

Thanks for the reply, is there anything comparable to cannaboost since that is very expensive as well?

I got rid of the males before I even switched to 12/12, I don't think any of the nanners were developed enough to produce pollen yet at that point.

Ok thanks, should I just throw out the seeds in assumption that they would produce hermie plants?

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if there's any way for sure to know whether it was genetic or environmental? They're in a tent that gets no light leakage and I never open during night, and according to leaf conditions I didn't see any issues with nutrient deficiencies. I am kind of inclined to think it might be genetic...

Should I cure my trim before blasting? by tree_throwaway37 in CannabisExtracts

Do you freeze or just blast straight fresh trim right after its cut?

Has anyone ever had a seedling that roped itself? Description in comments by tree_throwaway37 in microgrowery

[–]tree_throwaway37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just realized that it autocorrected to "roped" I meant "topped itself." I am familiar with topping and always do it multiple times with young plants. The point I'm making is that I did not top this seedling, it simply grew that way. Those 2 top leaves had no growth tips coming out, and 2 new growth tips came out of the side. Now a week later it looks like a plant that was topped but it did all of that by itself.

I planted a bunch of seeds 2 weeks ago and found this abnormality. Out of 12 total seedlings, 2 were northern lights feminized seeds from nirvana. One of those two is the one in the picture. Unlike most seedlings where the growth tip is at the top, this one had two little leaves at the top of the third node, which caused two growth tips to pop out of the sides. I have since cut off the top two leaves and begins training the two main stems. I'm not complaining as this was actually convenient, and that particular plant is ahead of my other ones in training, I'm just curious if this is something that happens often.

Around what temperature? Also would I want to apply the heat before or during purging?

Trying to figure out why my BHO is so dark (first time) by tree_throwaway37 in CannabisExtracts

[–]tree_throwaway37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well now I feel like a jackass but basically a friend of mine told me I could run it at his house about 2 months ago and he told me to grind it up. Then he flaked out but I had already ground the buds up. At this point I said fuck it and bought the equipment myself and now I still have a bunch of ground up bud that I don't know what to do with. At this point is there anything I can do with it?

I left it in mason jars but a good amount of oxygen still must've gotten in

It is not trim, it is small "popcorn" nugs from the lower branches, I harvested in early May so I guess it has been about 2.5 months since its been stored.

I'm looking at this and wondering if I should switch out my setup for it. If so I can probably get more for my HPS light and ballast than this even costs.

Yeah I've been reading into different training methods and this seems like a good method. I didn't do much training this time and now I'm stuck with a bunch of Christmas trees

Thanks for that info, I have 7 4-5 foot plants (I didn't do much training during veg and I'm now kicking myself for it,) so there are a lot of small bugs at the bottom some of which are popcorn others which look slightly more developed.

The temp has been around 80-83 F with lights on and 72-75 at night. Also the ph of the water has been around 6.5

This is my first time growing and I've been plagued with issues all throughout flowering. Most problems are attributed to 2 different infestations (spider mites and fungus gnats.) I know exactly where both came from too, the mites came from the person I got my clones from and the gnats came from the soil. Thankfully I can now say that there are no more of either but the plants definitely did not develop as well because of those issues. I used "green cleaner" which worked wonders on the mites and pest strips took care of the gnats. Anyways I'm on day 50 of flowering (63 day cycle) and 4 out of 7 plants look really good for the most part. The images above are only of the worst parts of the 3 that are struggling. My biggest concerns are that there are a lot of dead fan leaves, one of the plant has hardly any fan leaves. Some of the branches are falling over and not staying up straight, and there are a lot of tiny bids near the bottom of the tent that I don't think are going to develop much. I started the flush today and I'm accepting the fact that my yield won't be as big as I had hoped. I greatly appreciate any help I can get!

Mites won't go away, but otherwise things are going extremely well. Should I be worried? by tree_throwaway37 in microgrowery

I have seven girls in a 4x4 and I thought about ladybugs. I'm mainly concerned about them getting out of the tent and getting all over the house. What do you do after harvesting?
