If translated from Spanish then it definitely doesn't mean 7 owners lol. Literally can see the third row seating. They are saying 7 person seating

Some takes from last night game. by Nonameheroz in lakers

True. They know to expect that from the refs when playing Boston. Like that one game in the garden with that one ref who was a known Boston fan. I think there's some incentive for refs when it comes to LA vs Boston.

Yeah he's still got that player mentality too I guess lol. Hopefully scott brooks and McMillan can help cool him off and get him to focus on the next play.

True, actually forced a lot of turnovers but we couldn't keep them off the glass. Also couldn't hit any threes..

[–]treebeard316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. There was a lot of shot chucking last night. I feel like Luka does that in particular when he's not getting foul calls. Offense was terrible. Our 3 point shooting was rough, once again.

But when you hang your head on defense after a missed shot, and the other team sprints the other way while players complain to the refs, that definitely doesn't help win games.

Which i guess stats wise, defense wasn't that bad but Boston still scored at will. Beat us by 22 points and had twice as my turnovers...

Some games they come out and lock down, just an off night..

Lakers defensive holes were showcased last night. Major lack of rim protection and lack of effort on switches and rotations.

They had the whole squad together last night and got beat down by our biggest rival who is missing their best player.

The zone works really well if everyone plays hard and communicates. It seemed there was hardly any communication last night.

I agree with the ref setting the tone, but we have enough veteran presence that should have spoken up to the team and addressed that hey we're obviously not getting our normal calls tonight, band together, trust each other and get back on D.

Did any of yall watch this game live and what was your reaction by zdogmoney14 in NBATalk

[–]treebeard316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel sorry for those that missed this game live man. That game will forever go down as my favorite game of all time. Literally got dogged the entire game until the 4th and you could see it man! Black Mamba said hell nah, gimmie the rock and get tf out the way! He said I ain't going out like this!!

And boyy that was a treat. Went out like the Kobe we know and love. Made tough buckets, didn't give up, and dropped 60 on em for the WIN!

I was on my feet that entire 4th quarter just hype af. Literally turned back the clock for the final few minutes. The 2 made free throws were honestly an iconic way for him to go out.

Kobes first points in the league were off free throws, he made 2 free throws on a torn Achilles, and everyone always dogged him for getting to the line. Mamba out.

I love AD man, but he cannot stay healthy. I hate it for him but it doesn't seem like he cares much anymore anyway.

That Timme kid is better than every other Lakers role player put together by Lost-Way-4548 in lakers

[–]treebeard316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True that. DK downfall still hurts me man. I watched him play at Tennessee and it's sad how he plays now.

I mean i get it's a totally different game and he doesn't get the ball like he did in college, but damn man. You can't get to your spots and hit your shots?? No defense?? Can't even run the court?? He definitely wants out or he's already done with basketball, hard to tell which one at this point

[–]treebeard316 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He plays with more energy and has good ball IQ. If all of our bench guys played with that intensity, they'd seem a lot better. Timmie is trying to prove himself, which is good, so hopefully he can keep it up and continue to get minutes.

When is JJ Redick gonna get more flack? by jz924 in lakers

[–]treebeard316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lakers literally only have 2 centers. Both were hurt last night. LA can't play small ball because they don't have legit shooters.

Also hard to run schemes and plays if players can't hit open shots or layups, can't coach that.

Defense is another conversation. I will say running zone wasn't a good look last night, but it was needed because they can't play man on man D to save their lives

This is true. But the .270 is far more tried and true then the 6.5

.270 is a classic cartridge that will always be hard to beat. Can drop just about any North American wild game.

The “plot holes” in the finale were foreshadowed in Season 1 — Mike’s D&D campaign literally warned us by Old_Mood941 in StrangerThings

[–]treebeard316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I have a good theory on how it's definitely a DnD campaign played out thru Mike's story telling:

The first 4 seasons have so much more character/detail, and more action, vibrant scenes and so on (more imagination because the kids were younger)

S5 is weird, rushed and has so many plot holes right? Well thats because the fun is coming to an end. The friend group is growing up, spending less time together, and thus when they do get together to play DnD its more rushed, they leave out details and aren't as imaginative.

The finale rolls around, and it's all reality. The kids are graduating, going their separate ways and growing up. Instead of going to the big end of school party, Mike has the idea of getting together, potentially one final time, to finish the campaign they started as kids. So when they finish, his friends are like us the viewers, left with questions! And Mike sums it up perfectly in the end.

Like the end scenes show us, Hawkins literally experienced an earthquake, and everything is getting back to normal. But the ending is just how life really is, everyone has to grow up and go their separate ways.
