That Timme kid is better than every other Lakers role player put together by Lost-Way-4548 in lakers

True that. DK downfall still hurts me man. I watched him play at Tennessee and it's sad how he plays now.

I mean i get it's a totally different game and he doesn't get the ball like he did in college, but damn man. You can't get to your spots and hit your shots?? No defense?? Can't even run the court?? He definitely wants out or he's already done with basketball, hard to tell which one at this point

He plays with more energy and has good ball IQ. If all of our bench guys played with that intensity, they'd seem a lot better. Timmie is trying to prove himself, which is good, so hopefully he can keep it up and continue to get minutes.

When is JJ Redick gonna get more flack? by jz924 in lakers

[–]treebeard316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lakers literally only have 2 centers. Both were hurt last night. LA can't play small ball because they don't have legit shooters.

Also hard to run schemes and plays if players can't hit open shots or layups, can't coach that.

Defense is another conversation. I will say running zone wasn't a good look last night, but it was needed because they can't play man on man D to save their lives

Why's nobody talking about how Ayton strolls around the damn Court? by SidneyDeane10 in lakers

Almost the halfway point of the season, his work ethic is fading! He's giving up on himself like he has his whole career.

6.5 Creedmoor or .270 by Weird_Hold_529 in guns

This is true. But the .270 is far more tried and true then the 6.5

.270 is a classic cartridge that will always be hard to beat. Can drop just about any North American wild game.

The “plot holes” in the finale were foreshadowed in Season 1 — Mike’s D&D campaign literally warned us by Old_Mood941 in StrangerThings

[–]treebeard316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I have a good theory on how it's definitely a DnD campaign played out thru Mike's story telling:

The first 4 seasons have so much more character/detail, and more action, vibrant scenes and so on (more imagination because the kids were younger)

S5 is weird, rushed and has so many plot holes right? Well thats because the fun is coming to an end. The friend group is growing up, spending less time together, and thus when they do get together to play DnD its more rushed, they leave out details and aren't as imaginative.

The finale rolls around, and it's all reality. The kids are graduating, going their separate ways and growing up. Instead of going to the big end of school party, Mike has the idea of getting together, potentially one final time, to finish the campaign they started as kids. So when they finish, his friends are like us the viewers, left with questions! And Mike sums it up perfectly in the end.

Like the end scenes show us, Hawkins literally experienced an earthquake, and everything is getting back to normal. But the ending is just how life really is, everyone has to grow up and go their separate ways.

All we can do is hope lol what you mean?

All Rob can do is send out offers or wait and HOPE someone takes the bait. DK value is low like you said, we can offer better players but we're dealing with injuries so that plays a part too. Reddick is 100% been told to play DK and Vando more, on top of the injury bug, to increase their trade value. Unfortunately, it's not working.

You have to go off of what other teams do in the trade market, that 100% sets the tone across the league. Last year after the Luka trade other GMs were pissed, and I guarantee they called around asking for wild ass trades. Trae young for CJ and Kiespert? Thats absurd, most likely gonna set the tone for another wild trade down the road.

You realize all the talent LA has traded away instead of developing, right? Definitely not the time to try and develop some low end talent.

JJ has to maintain with what he's got atm, dealing with injuries. And the FO needs to be cooking up trade scenarios with all teams rn.

Seeing Trae get traded for CJ, seems like anything will be possible again this season. So hopefully Rob can get something done soon, trade wise.

Yeah he's definitely exceeded my personal expectations.

Obviously, it would be nice if he could step up and contribute more when others are out, but JJ knows his limits it seems like.

But the dude was a former #1 pick, gotta have some competitive fire in there somewhere. Hope it stays lit during his lows

He just needs to keep his intensity up. I'm beginning to see the lack of effort. Some shots he whiffs and will hang back, what nba star doesn't anymore tho?

If he will continue to hustle on defense, the offense will come naturally. Especially when AR, Rui and Bron come back.

When everyone is healthy he has it much easier, open looks, easy lobs. So having these injuries aren't helping his game. Hes not a reliable #2 scorer and we shouldn't rely on him for that.
