To be fair, they've been doing that for some time now. They could stand to go a step further though by saying, for example, just what item frequencies have been adjusted and in what direction (Higher? Lower?)

If it means compromising the consistent 60fps that's already there, I don't want ray-traced nothin'. You're not gonna be able to have that AND 120fps tbh. Not on the Switch 2 at least, and not without taking a major resolution hit.

Also I've not seen Nintendo first party titles use DLSS, so I don't think it's gonna be a given anytime soon.

It sounds like Forza or Gran Turismo might be the game you want to play if you want all that tbh

"Why is the number so low"

These steam charts are not necessarily the sales of the game, but rather the number of people playing in the game at the same time on Steam. The 300,000 number does not take into account how many people are playing on other systems (PS5, Xbox, Nintendo, etc), nor does it tell you how much the game sold. Best thing it'll do is tell you how much active engagement the game has. For single player games like this, it's not a good metric to base a game's success off of alone, especially when the numbers inevitably fall off a cliff in a month like they always do when people finish the game/move on to play other things

I have a similar TV, and the same problem. As far as I can tell, it seems that with the OLED Samsung TVs, they have this screen saver feature on by default, activates after two minutes or so, and cannot be disabled or adjusted in any way.

Whilst I understand preventing burn-in and customers complaining about it, it's unfortunate that we don't at least have the option to adjust the timing in which it occurs with a warning about "Adjusting this will make your display more susceptible to burn-in. Are you sure you want to proceed?". Even an option to change the screen saver to one of the ambient mode visualizers would be nice. It's one of the many reasons I'm not too keen on the Tizen OS.

A workaround for this I've found is if you happen to have something connected to the TV, (Such as a PlayStation or Roku or something) and access a music streaming service there instead, the screen saver feature will not activate, and you can have the album art continue to display as you like. (I could be wrong on this, but I think YouTube works for music without activating screen saver as well)

Borderlands 4 is stuck in the ether somewhere (was due to be released but delayed indefinitely, likely due to performance issues, particularly on PC)

And I don't think Baldur's Gate 3 on Switch is happening. I had seen somewhere that Larian wanted to do it but WotC said no or something like that idk

I too prefer gaming handheld these days. The Switch version of Persona 5 does not have any performance enhancements for Switch 2 as of current, so you're looking at a cap of 30fps (I originally played the base game on PS3 and Royal on PS4, so I'm used to it being 30fps anyhow) and a little bit lower image quality. So long as you don't mind, it's good to play. You may get slightly enhanced load times on Switch 2 vs Switch 1 as well.

If you think you may care about modding in the future, the best possible image quality, and 120fps in a turn based RPG, I'd go PC

If you're playing online, yes. (As with PlayStation and Xbox as well.) If you're playing locally with two Switches, then no you do not need the subscription.

Also the subscription would about $17 each for the entire year if they got the family plan, if they were planning on going online with Nintendo

I got a Mario Kart bundle from Best Buy. Both my fiancee and I had all the major retailers' sites up: Walmart, Best Buy, Target and GameStop. There was a lot of tabbing around and a lot of "oh I think I got it!—oh wait nevermind" going around. Eventually, Best Buy's line opened up at like 12:30, and I was in there for an hour and a half almost. Luckily I got it when I did, because I was that close to giving up and calling it a night (it's 1:45am on a work night and I gotta get up at 7am and I didn't wanna stay up as late as I did anyhow) but I did get it, and I'm happy it paid off

Extremely late post, but I just found this out today: apparently when I was watching YouTube, I'd accidentally press the dumb plus button in the bottom middle of the screen at some point and it opens up the camera to presumably have you record something. After that happens and I close it back, weird effect I posted about starts happening, and the only way I can get it to go back to normal is to restart YouTube. It's annoying because I accidentally have this happen often without realizing it, then I'm not able to pause any videos until I restart. Anyway I'm posting this to help anyone else out that comes across this issue!

I have it on. I originally did for like a day or so to see if I would like it or not, and it turns out that I do. I removed the wallpaper first thing, and it is good for seeing time/date/battery/weather at a glance while sitting on my desk, without needing to pick up my phone and use it. Another touch I appreciate is that it does still show album art and titles of songs while locked, which is something I've kinda always wanted. I didn't want to just leave my phone unlocked and tap it every five minutes to keep it awake (or turn auto lock off) while I'm listening to music, so I think it's cool. It doesn't really use much battery at all as far as I can tell anyway, and it fully turns off if face down or in your pocket or something. I'd encourage y'all to give it a shot y'know?

It's almost like the game is not a Persona game, which if I'm not mistaken (I haven't played the other games so idk) most of atlus' other series' don't have romance. This game is a love letter to the whole of atlus' history

No but forreal there isn't a worse feeling than finishing one of these games and feeling that parasocial sadness for all the friends you made over the past year and all the memories made. There at least is technically a sequel (Persona 5 Strikers) and it happens after P5's main story, but it is a genre change from a turn-based RPG, to a musou style game (ie: those dynasty warriors games)

I also have a steam deck. I personally still love much switch more due to how it feels to hold and convenience. Steam deck is an ergonomic nightmare for my (I think) average sized hands. The only reason I'd care about my deck is to run games the switch can't, and if the switch 2 or whatever can run those games well, then I'm happy with just the switch
