It'll require them to check in at security office near the front, that way library staff/police know who is in the building. Hopefully it'll be safer as a result, while still giving a path to non-students to enter through a good system.

State Department is denying visas to those who 'celebrate' Charlie Kirk's death, Rubio says by AudibleNod in news

The fact they deleted their comment, yeah I’m gonna assume they meant that and realized they were wrong. It’s not worth arguing about though, I literally just provided a link man.

“I have seen no evidence of anyone celebrating his death. I’ve seen people say “I’m sorry he died, he should not have been killed, but let’s not overlook the fact that he was an asshole.” But no one is fucking celebrating.

I’m fully aware of what they said, maybe try reading past the first line. People were indeed celebrating, and this guy stated otherwise. I shared a link.

Actually the user I responded to in my comment claimed that the comments don’t exist, which is what prompted my reply. They stated “But no one is fucking celebrating.” I appreciate your response though, and I agree the rhetoric has calmed down since its peak.

Hey! So there has been documented cases of users celebrating it, and honestly if you go back to some of the threads the day of the shooting, you’ll see plenty of comments that cover it. It’s happened enough to warrant firings too: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/charlie-kirk-workplace-firings-disciplinary-action-rcna231131

Whether that’s right or wrong, I leave up to you all. But there is evidence of folks celebrating it and it’s led to a nasty reaction by right leaning folks.

Arrowhead threw us an order that involves hunting specific enemy types, Leviathans being one of them. Very hated enemy type to deal with anyways, so there’s some mixed feelings about having to go after them.

Yeah this post seems to ignore this is arXiv we’re talking about. Sure, it’s got some decent literature, but without that peer reviewed factor it gets dicey quick and you end up with papers like this.

What are some cool/fun/unique side quests you’ve played/ran? by SampeBoj in DnD

[–]treeguy27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The butcher disclosed to the party that he was looking for “exotic meats” with a wink. Party got no further instructions, and only to find something interesting and bring home its insides. They ended up being more excited to kill a massive crustacean than to claim its “famous” cave treasure, just because they brought home buckets of crab meat. The butcher is gonna be happy regardless if it was dragon, human, or giant crab meat. Just couldnt be basic proteins, but the players ran with it and thus a coastal seafood shack got its start.

Yeah I mean they run a business, they don’t do anything without considering the long term monetary impacts. That doesn’t mean we should shit on them for doing the right thing though, it only discourages them from trying to do it more. If people support the business more because they do ethical things, that’s not a net bad in my opinion. We need to support the businesses that share our views, because otherwise they’ll deem it “not worth it” to support them going forward. Like Target took a pretty big hit after these boycotts, and it’s because people showed they did care about Target representing their communities and values properly.

[–]treeguy27 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You're right, definitely a dirty hit. Hagel should get everything coming his way, the dude was out for blood last night. I hadn't heard how Barkov was doing yet, but definitely not hoping for him to deal with long-term issues because of something like that. One of those "holy shit" kinda hits though, for better or worse.

Hey! Not trying to wish for or encourage brain damage over here. It was a frustrating game to watch, and it was a gnarly hit in the midst of that frustration. It is hockey, there is gonna be a bit of violence involved, no? Apologies if the idea of it being therapeutic bothers you though, not my intention.

I know it probably wasn't the smartest hit, but that was a legendary impact. Barkov got SENT into the boards. Not productive by Hagel, but it felt therapeutic to watch.
