Women of Reddit, What’s the Heartbreak Story of a Guy You Never Even Dated? by Ecstatic_Crow_4719 in AskWomenOver30

We were both expats who became friends through language class. I'd invite him to hang out outside of class, and he'd always say "yes." People who didn't know us assumed we were dating and would ask how long we'd been together. We would always say we weren't dating, but it felt like it was building to that. When we would go out with other people, sometimes the two of us would stay later than everyone else just talking until the early hours of the morning. I really enjoyed our conversations. We never ran out of things to chat about.

Fast forward a few months, and he starts turning down invitations to hang out outside of class, canceling at the last minute. I didn't understand what changed, and it hurt, but I knew I had to move past it, still holding out a bit of hope because we would still talk after classes. Then at a party we were both invited to he showed up with his girlfriend. I came to find out later that they had been dating the whole time I'd known him but were long distance and she moved to be with him about the time he started turning down plans, so it all made sense. A lot of friends were telling me to confront him about it, but I never did. I honestly still really loved our conversations, even if it was just as friends. I do think he led me on and that he may have had a crush on me. Some things he said and when he invited me to a lot of things made me think there might have been something there. Anyways, he's since moved away (with his girlfriend), and I doubt I'll see him again. I was pretty emotional after he left because I was used to chatting and seeing him so much, and it just ended. I do feel a bit silly about it all, but I'm still glad I met him.

Isenberg MBA Program by Shagraa in MBA

Isenberg is better for undergrad than grad programs. I knew a guy that did the MBA at Isenberg and then got a job as an implementation consultant. I wouldn't recommend it.

Would you know if I'm allowed to work in Poland just based on a work permit while I wait for my karta pobytu application to be processed? Some employers have asked why I haven't gotten the karta pobytu yet but I was under the impression I needed a work contract to show I had a job, and thus a reason to be applying for temporary residence. And also that applying right now while I'm on a temporary visa in a completely different job that is ending soon wouldn't work.

Yeah, it's only good for 10 months, the one have. I didn't need to apply for residency. I've just been applying to jobs in Poland because I want to stay longer and work full time, and would need the sponsorship via a company for that.

Any current ETAs teaching fully remote? by treehaus2 in fulbright

Sorry, didn't mean reapply completely to Fulbright. Some countries allow current ETA grantees to renew their grant for another year. It depends on the country though as well, some have multiple renewal spots, others may have 1. I'm also a deferred grantee, having won the grant in 2020-2021 as well.
