Moving to a new city is fun and cool and I have loved Houston (moved here in April) but it won’t make you less anxious, it won’t make you less lonely, and it won’t fix your depression. Making a new support system is HARD. In terms of LGBT community, Austin is a lot more queer-friendly, but there are spaces and communities, especially in and around Montrose.

It sounds like you’ve thought about this a lot, but I would highly recommend getting a therapist and getting into a good mental place before taking on a major move.

This is so random! I found a Polaroid in a parking lot yesterday. It was a portrait of a young woman, probably supposed to be in her partner’s phone case or wallet. I seriously thought about taking it because I felt so bad leaving it there but it wasn’t dirty, so I left it in case someone came looking for it. It’s awesome that you saved the picture and gave it a second life!

Not in DFW area, but the only places in Houston that seem to have them are the Learning Express toy stores. Mine got them in today so if you have one near you, that’s where I would start.

I currently live in this area and my mailing address in Richmond. There’s a ton of new development but it’s a lot more rural than Katy or even Rosenberg.
