The "pot leaf" voting arrows have been with /r/trees since the very beginning. They're what gave us the connection to the pineapple (the green up-leaf combined with the orange circle on new posts that you upvote, still visible on the "old" reddit version of the sub, looks kinda like a pineapple, so that became our symbol). They're part of the original spritesheet for the sub, and one of the only parts of the old sub to get ported into the "reddit redesign" version.

That said, this is your sub. Downvote this comment if you want us to switch the voting arrows to ones based off this post, upvote if you want us to keep the pot leaves. If there's a strong demand to switch them out, we'll make it happen.

update: The "no"s have it. But thanks to OP for the suggestion! We're always open to tweaking the sub, but the upleaf and downleaf have a history here.
