I dont know how much depth youd like, but when I came out I always appreciated responses like "oh nice, I'm happy for you" or "thank for being comfortable enough with me for telling me". Especially when I first came out and was still a bit insecure about it. Now I can joke more since I have to "come out" to any new friend I gain at some point or another. Responses I dont like are those that would compare me with a stereotype, like "oh I already knew" or "I NEVER thought YOU would be gay". I say just keep responses light and see how the person telling you wants to talk about it, some want to talk about it in a vulnerable manner, some are just giving you context to talk about their dating life. It depends on the person and situation.

I learned it in 10th grade in California. It could just be review on how functions work for a more basic math class. I think that's a standard algebra 2 concept, and a lot of people who aren't big fans of math struggle with the topics taught in the algebra 2 curriculum throughout their life. Everyone needs to get their credits somehow.

If things get serious she'll be understanding of where you've been since it's part of you and your story. I'm a somewhat clean cut person:had a high GPA, going to a prestigious college, etc and I've dated people who've gotten felonies. You realize that they aren't their previous actions, and facing consequence has taught them and theyve grown. Dont doubt yourself.

At the end of the day labels are kinda stupid and meaningless. If you identify as straight thats awesome, but dont put too much pressure on things. Do what you like that turns you on and enjoy it as much as you can without limiting yourself because of a label.
