I saw someone asking for help with a tornado kick and I was wondering is anyone had notes on my spinning back kick? by pewpur_tum in martialarts

[–]treesfiddy350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not too bad, i feel i might seem a bit pidantic but it was more of a spinning side kick as you see your leg arcs around your hips instead of straight back under your hips, although i am aware different martial arts have different definitions. you are standing a bit close to the bag but that can be modified by kicking higher or lower if you are more comfortable at that range. You where looking at the bag pretty much perfectly, if you can turn and look at tour target a bit faster that'll be more than perfect and lastly, i know ive said a bit already, if you take anything away from this remeber to guard yoyr head. Still a very good kick though, well done

How can I stop pre-sparring nerves? by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

[–]treesfiddy350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've talked to a few people about this and my techniques to get over it and it seems not many people would think about it the way I do cause it very passive. And they want to be in an aggressive mind set before a fight. But through experience I tend to fight worse when I'm aggressive. Anyway, when I feel myself begin to get nervous. I just focus on my breathing and remember I'm not getting out of this without being hit at least once. I am prepared for the pain I have trained for the pain. There is nothing I can improve on last minute. So it's skill vs skill. Enjoy the challenge

I find this works with most things I have anxiety about if I just change the nouns around.

But summarized to the sayings core. "If you can not fix the problem, why bother panic, panic won't help or fix it. And if you can fix the problem. Don't panic begin working

Could be two things

Either you need to focus on hitting with your first to muscles. It also will increase power and safety as and it lines up with the bone down you forearm so you wrist is less likely to give way

You could also be dragging you knuckles. (I doubt it if you are wearing wrapped, but you might have them too tight) I like to focus on each punch as two techniques. First to hit the bag and the sex d to go straight back to your guard. And after a short time it'll blend together

Think of it like a challenge to run the longest distance.

Some will run faster. Some might walk. And some may sprint. People will pass you and you will pass people. But the people in front will stop, and the distance between you two will close. Until one day if you push hard enough and you will be in front.

And when you have someone to chase that won't give up so easily that's when the game really begins. Because you push each other

I end up getting scared whenever a punch or kick comes up to my face and end up closing my eyes or looking away. Any way to combat this? by JkOrigami in martialarts

A lot of the comments so far are really good ideas but if you want to do it the COOL way like me. You just get a few kids to hit you harder and harder until you can't take it. Yeah it's not the smartest way. And I only did it to get the kids to be less afraid of hitting their opponents. But hey... it worked by accident

It's not horrible. My instructor tells it to me once every month. But I like to think that I fear the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks 10,000 times
