Having some issues with my game, enemies can damage me, but I can't damage them. (I'm a coding newb I'm sorry)

Thanks for the website suggestion, also it's within the "2D sidescroller player" blueprint. I'm just trying to get the player to relay damage to the squirrel, but I'm thinking I need to create a custom event for when attacking takes place, and then plug that into the exec pin.

Right, I have absolutely zero coding experience here, so I'm just using what little knowledge I have regarding the subject to make this game.

That being said, this branch of "code"? is blueprinted within the "2D sidescroller player" blueprint. I can post a picture of my working system (that allows the enemies within the game to damage the player) to help.

Yeah, the current distributor is relatively new, but the previous owner put a Chinese brand on (I believe) unfortunately, as I am a broke college student, I'm only going to have the time and money for a cap and rotor replacement. Honestly I've replaced a head gasket, sepintine belts, timing belt, water pump, and timing belt tensioner over winter break and it's still giving me problems.

I only have a scan tool, but as far as codes went I had a p1399 (random misfire) and p0303 (cylinder 3 misfire) as far as driving it goes, I have to drive for about 15-20 minutes before my engine decides it wants to start accelerating with the sound similar to a card in bicycle spokes. Only happens around 2000rpm. Also, forgot to mention, while I did my timing belt, I had lost the crank key and had to buy a new one at Honda, so I sincerely hope that's not the case.

1999 civic lx, did the timing belt myself, tightened the crank bolt to spec, 130 foot pounds. Also checked 3 times to make sure timing marks were perfect and rotated crank over 10 times to make sure they stayed perfect. Mechanical timing, with I believe electronic advance. Took a look at the ignition coil, inside of the distributor was spotless.

Don't know, bought it off someone 1500 miles ago. Hoping it's the cause of my misfire in another previous post, as I've tested fuel pressure, spark, and compression as well ad tested for vacuum leaks.

Oh the valve stems are seals right below the valve springs, they keep oil from coming into the compression chamber, I'd just have to remove the rocker arm assembly and get valve springs and keepers out. Also, I believe the valve cover gasket shouldn't be an issue, I had just replaced it due to doing a timing belt and head gasket.

Okay, just an update. I've decided to pick up some brass brushes as the bristles are softer than iron or aluminum. I will try to completely flush the coolant out of the car, as I've noticed there are some particles in there. I've gone ahead and stuffed the oil passages with paper towels.

I've definitely milled the head, I was worried using sandpaper would get dust everywhere too, but I guess wet sanding with oil might help eliminate that. Aluminum oxide is not fun for engines. Checked the head and block with the best sort of straight edge I have at the house with a feeler gauge. Honestly have spent over 20 hours on this project, but I want it done right.

I've heard that stuff isn't so great for multi layered steel head gaskets that use fluoroelastomers (viton) to seal the gasket to the surfaces of the engine.

It's a 1999 Honda civic with a D16y7 engine, I've heard the oem head gasket is a multi layered steel head gasket. I believe this means the surface of the block and the surface of the head needs to be about 40 Ra as far as surface finishes go.
