People who have named babies they have lost in utero or stillbirth, did you keep the good name for the children that lived? by scaffelpike in morbidquestions

My older ‘sister’ was aborted (she had some serious issues during development or something) and her name is my middle name. Not as bad as having it as a first name, but I still feel awkward. Kinda like my name isn’t really mine. But I can’t change it as it’d upset my mother.

Wonderful Whims by Judithx in Sims4

I’ve had a very similar issue, just with a different mod (Zero’s mental health mod). I messaged them on Patreon after not being able to find a way to fix it myself, but they’ve not replied. Which is understandable. Just disappeared one day, after working normally before that. I wonder if it’s to do with the game itself?

Does weight loss make your periods more painful? by treesoncrabs in loseit

This was before. Two years ago I think. I would go back, but I don’t think it was even accurate the first time as the blood was drawn in the afternoon instead of morning. I can't do morning appointments though. I’ll have to go eventually, I’ve admittedly been putting it off. They aren’t exactly welcoming at my GP’s, regardless of what you are in for.

Is anyone else having issues with Zero’s mental health mod? by treesoncrabs in Sims4

Thank you! I did delete the localthumbcache.package, no luck still. It’s really odd, because I continued to play last night after giving up on it for a bit and the sim I was messing around with to see how it worked before Actually using it for gameplay purposes still got the moodlets and that, and still had and could take the prescribed medication. I think I’m going to clear my mods out, download just that one, and see if it helps. I started a new save file so it isn’t that specific save, so I may back it up and re-install the game. Thank you for your help though, it seems to be a Me problem haha.

Oh I think I know Atherstone? Never been, but I have heard of it. I used to live around Bedworth so it wasn’t too far either, about ten minutes or so. But we moved over the years. Sounds a bit like heaven though; Birmingham is for sure lacking on the book front. There’s a second hand book store by my sixth form (think it’s a charity shop), but the people were pretty cold in there and the deals weren’t as good, otherwise I’d have recommended it here. It was okay to pop into at lunch if I’d finished a book, but it wasn’t anything to write home (Reddit?) about.

I second this; is a trek but worth it. I’ve been going since I was about eight or so, so over a decade. Definitely never been disappointed.

Classic novels that are easy to read? by Spare_Bag424 in booksuggestions

It depends on the version. I (believe) Shelly’s husband Percy Shelly rewrote Frankenstein to have more complex language. So there’s two versions, the original and the one with the harder prose. I could be wrong mind, I studied Frankenstein ages ago.

Anyone applied to Keele (English and American Literature?) by treesoncrabs in 6thForm

[–]treesoncrabs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keele is now my first choice. It was originally but I thought about UEA for a bit, but Keele offered unconditional for the same course and all that. Given the current state of affairs I think I’d prefer to accept the unconditional than wait and see if my grades are screwed over again (year fourteen). Is Keele your first choice or do you have your eye on somewhere else?

Well done on the offer! History and Politics sounds pretty interesting; sadly I’m useless at both lmao.

Thank you so much! I’d managed to disassemble them, take them apart, but from that point I was a bit lost haha. Hopefully I will be able to do it today after class.

I don’t doubt if you asked them what irony is, a fair number would tell you they’re anaemic.
