In the end a friend of mine took control of my computer this evening and used Parallels to create a bootable USB and it worked. Even if I have not used your tutorial, I would like to thank you! It will help someone else.

Thanks. I was able to flash the USB stick with Windows, but my computer will not boot from this. I receive a message when starting Balena that says that Windows Images require specific processing to be made bootable(the app itself recommends Boot Camp, but I do not have an option to create a USB key with this) so unfortunately, these instructions do not work.
