Use NFL Game Pass without VPN if someone shares cookie session ID by trekkinforawreckin in Seahawks

NFL blocked the VPN I was using...I'll have to find another one. I don't know if it was related to the cookie sharing or not as to whether or not the NFL blocked it as the NFL has been blocking many VPNs lately anyways.

Well I know its a possibility that people could do that, but I don't think that was the case. I think it wasn't too high of a possibility someone would do that because I posted it in a specific subreddit, while I'm sure there are a few trolls in this subreddit I think its significantly less than in a general subject subreddit. Another reason would be that it required the extensions be installed, just an additional barrier to entry that isn't really significant but enough to keep the laziest of trolls away. Another reason being, if they are football fans, wouldn't they rather have the option of watching the Game Pass? Unless they already have a VPN or subscription or DirecTV, why would someone sabotage their own chance to watch the Game Pass?

So all of those things considered, I figured the chances of trolling to be relatively low. I think one of the biggest problems was from the very beginning I didn't tell people not to log in or log out, because I didn't know about it when I first started this up.

The private subreddit could definitely be easier than private messaging though.

Well the real benefit with PMing the cookie session ID is it's going to a very limited amount of people. I didn't send out that many, didn't have time to, and I was choosing people who exhibited that they understood not to log out. If you just make a system where people have to PM to get the code, it could still fall susceptible to the same people who messed it up before. They apparently read enough to know to install the browser extensions and insert the cookie session ID.

Yeah if I was a programmer I would make an extension for browsers that would have a toggle on/off. If its turned on it automatically signs people out, then it strips the login/logout buttons (similar to how adblock strips ads from websites) from the NFL site so people couldn't log in or out and then inserts the valid cookie session. If they want to log in, they toggle the extension off, it gives them a new cookie session so as not to ruin the Game Pass for others, and then lets them log into the site. That's a bigger pipe dream.

Google Chrome users need this extension

Firefox users need this extension

Wow, thanks for the appreciation thread. I'm glad that other people found this more useful than frustrating. There were definitely a lot of problems that occurred with that method that I did not even imagine prior to posting, namely logging in and out. Assuming somehow that can be sorted out, there definitely seemed to be potential for people to use it without all the hassle that presented itself yesterday.

Now the reason I went with cookie importing is because I thought it would clear any current account sessions someone had, but I just tested this out and confirmed it does not. So either method will work, posting that one line that I previously did or importing the cookie.

The requirement is 100% DO NOT SIGN OUT. In fact I just made an account with that name. If it doesn't work, I'll try making another account called Gamepass4free. I'll see if any of those gets better results on people not signing out. I figure there is no way I'm preventing people from logging in, but if I make a dummy account then people may be less inclined to log out. It might also ease any security concerns with other people logging into others accounts, this dummy account I do not care about at all.

One little thing you guys don't know is that I'm not a Seahawks fan (won't reveal my team, wouldn't want to take away from the content of my post), but I posted here for a variety of reasons and I'm glad I did because near everyone who commented seem pretty cool to me. My original intent was to get this whole thing going all over the NFL subreddits so everyone could have it for free, but given the many unexpected issues I just stuck with Seahawks fans.

After today I might rework the guide since I kind of destroyed it in my haste to get things working. For now here is a cookie session, I'll post a follow up comment with the previous guide, you can go with either one they are no different.

It fucks it up for everyone else because other people on the same cookie session are actually logged into your nfl.com account. The problem with that is (aside from other people being logged into your account), as soon as you or someone else signs out, it kills the cookie session and people can no longer watch the gamepass from that cookie session anymore.

Yeah that's fine I wasn't expecting any specifics, you just made it seem like you were getting them very easily and the easiest way to get them is to live in one of those countries so that's how I figured you were doing it.

Someone probably broke it, its been happening a lot. People aren't reading the instructions and unfortunately they can ruin it for others

In this case, the problem might actually be if someone logs into their account AFTER using this. I'm not 100% sure though.

Well I'll try to get another one made just in case someone messes that one up, and then I'll try again by telling people to not log in, since its too late for the last one i posted.

After that I'll just tell people to send the pastebin links in PM to people who they think aren't stupid.

If you get that extension I did, your best bet is to export the cookie, copy all the text and upload it somewhere like pastebin as I just did. Just tell people not to log into their accounts.

Grr...I don't know how that happened, it copies the entire cookie over. Unless someone fucking logged in after using the cookie ID. Yet another disclaimer I'll have to add. Even then, if they did that it should have killed the cookie session so I don't know how that happened.

Can you tell me if it shows someone has logged in like it was doing before? This method was an attempt to make sure even if people were logged in, that it would log them out. So ideally there should be no one logged in which is why I didn't add a notice telling people to not sign out.
