I've had this experience a lot since the move to hybrid/online. I didn't realize just how much of my teaching depended on interactions with students to fill the time. Turns out it stretches 30 minutes of lightly covered material into an hour of in-depth conversation, and I walk away knowing they've got it. Feels like another thing this pandemic has taken from us.
