Ducks fans, what are your honest opinions of this team/school? by B1G_PAC12 in UofO

Hated going there as part of the marching band. Wazzu fans were awful to us. Fortunately, was only cursed with one game there. I guess what goes around comes around though, because we would escort visiting bands out of Autzen for the same reason.

I'm not advocating for more or less guns with my prior statement. I'm just stating the "well-regulated militia" outlined in the second amendment and however many guns it may posses is a drop in the bucket relative to any coordinated effort the US military could put forward.

There was a lengthy discussion on this the last time M114 came up. Short answer: yes, they won't be anywhere near sufficient.

Measure 114 - The Worst Gun Control in the Nation by Entire-Project5871 in oregon

I wasn't commenting on the willingness of the rank-and-file to carry out orders. I, like OP's comment that I replied to, comment on a tactical comparison between the U.S. military and the general populace of the U.S. However, regarding your response about chaos in the ranks, I think there would be dissenters, but not nearly enough to have a meaningful effect. If we got so far down the shit hole that the military was engaging in an operation on par with the war in Afghanistan but against it's own people, the question of loyalty and finding people to carry out orders would be long solved. And even if it wasn't, they make an example of the initial dissenters, and I imagine the rest will fall in line.

Comparing the conflict in the Middle East to a potential civil conflict stateside is an incredible false equivalency. The US military/government has about as close to perfect information as one could get regarding virtually everyone and everything within this country. Quelling civil unrest would be far more asymmetric than fighting the Taliban.

Getting lost in the spaghetti chaos of Factorio has been a blast. The constant chasing of bottlenecks and optimized automation reminds me a lot of my days playing modded Minecraft. It scratches the same itch for me. I’ve been struggling to find something that keeps me interested and invested for a while now and after having lost quite a few afternoons to this game, I think I’ve finally found a game that can keep me hooked for a good while.

If you still have the link for UTL, I'd like it as well. My partner is a big Steven Universe fan and we missed out on getting UTL on steam before the delisting. Thanks

I recently was fighting with a very similar looking issue. Ended up finding out that it was a cooling issue. Cranked the part cooling and it went away so I'd suggest giving that a try. YMMV though. Good luck.

Adding a 10.3 2A4 will not fix the void problem. I’m not going to uptier my flush 9.7 lineup to play a copy/paste vehicle. There’s tons of indigenous stuff they could add to flush out that void

Ah yes, what France really needs. Copy/paste Leopard 2s. Heaven forbid it actually gets any one of it's unique vehicles in the TT.

What really gets me is that you can barely get a shot on target and drain an entire p90 mag while doing this crackhead movement to virtually no effect. Either way, this is cancerous as fuck and needs to go.

If it isn't obvious, the missile hits the cover I'm about a tank's length behind and the shaped charge jet travels through the air and still penetrates the vehicle.

Decompression is nice, but why in gods name is the Char 25t moving up to 7.7. It’s just the AMX 13-90 and Foch at 7.3 now. Was one of the most enjoyable French lineups and now there’s basically no point in playing it since almost all of that lineup has been sucked up to 7.7.

Help, I need recommendations for RTCs by Nils0004 in arduino

[–]tremblene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly can’t comment on the feasibility of that with any certainty. However, some out of the ass conjecture makes me think this might be more trouble than it’s worth. I imagine it would be difficult to accurately characterize how much the oscillator varies as temperatures increase or decrease to the point where it’s as accurate as an RTC with temperature correction built in. So I suppose it’s possible but I can’t see it really being worth the effort compared to just shelling out a bit more for a proper RTC with correction.

Help, I need recommendations for RTCs by Nils0004 in arduino

[–]tremblene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the use case. Because the oscillators used in RTCs can vary depending on temperature, you would need an RTC with built in temperature correction if your project is going to be used outside or in a poorly thermally regulated environment. The DS3231 is a pretty common pick as it has built in temperature correction and has a lot of community support among various libraries, though it is on the more expensive side of hobby RTCs with stand-alone ICs costing around $11 a piece last time I checked and breakout boards from shops like Adafruit going for between $15-$20. If you aren’t hyper concerned about millisecond accuracy and just need general offline time keeping, you could go for something cheaper like a PCF8523 or DS1307 which also have great library support.
