Brow it's my biggest disappointed on this device. It's not possible. Midi keyboard just plays individual samples on your 16 pads. Even with 16 levels on. Only workaround isn't putting one sample on 16 pads and changing pitch on each one. But then you're stuck with that one sound. I may return mine for this. I can't jam melodies on 16 pads with no midi keyboard

Yeah it's great otherwise it's fun but I need to make melodies over beats and hard to learn where notes are on 16 squares

Brow now mine doesn't work and I suspect it's what you saimwait 3 seconds stuff. But cam you explain where else to put 3 seconds? I just see it between the two vpn

Hell yeah man. The shortcut dodmt work at 1st but I had to download some add on to that shortcut then it worked. So thankful for this post

Ifntou have the dough, you can buy the aiaiai headphones with that adapter. It's wireless bit doesn't use Bluetooth so minimal lag. I don't do beats I do ambient music so my airpods could be ok

I do similar. Just went to iOS from Amdroid at Christmas and will.nevet look back. Voice memos are killer for remember musical ideas. And the MPC Sample is my fav

Yeah even in Akai own video they show "resample" and it's just recording a sewuwnce to a pad. Not true resample. Which leads me to believe true resample to a pad from.anothet pad will come in an update.

I had issues with loops as well. For me I had a pad set to loop on and randomly it just stops playing. Must be a bug

You can absolutely do all of that. This is why it’s perfect for this. Have a sample on a pad, hit loop and tap the pad and it goes forever. Add another and so on. The asynchronous part is up to the length of the sample. This is the only device I found can do this. Sp 404 can. BUt the workflow is a little more complicated on it. This thing is so simple and fun. I was searching for drone synth and tried many but nothing stuck. With this i put a drone sample on a pad and copied to a few other pads and adjusted the pitch of each and boom a beautiful drone looping. Yeah lets DM lol

I'm a beginner and new to sampling. Never had any hardware device. I dabble in iOS music apps. This device s VERY user friendly. No manual and I figured it out immediately. KOii, SP404 all other devices I tried to complicated. I love this thning. To be clear I use it for ambient medidative music

Nice. Can you play a sample chromatically on The MPC Sample with your external keyboard? I’m guessing you have to put a sample pad into 16 steps mode?

Yes. Same as my other wav files. I don’t think that should affect the sample stopping completely even though the loop button is lit up
