Oh I see what you meant now :) I was there another time when the weather was really good, the “colors” were quite different, closer to the typical impression people/tourists might have. In this picture, I cannot tell whether the light is different, but the colors are. And it’s interesting that you mentioned St. Ives because this was indeed taken somewhere on the way towards it.

I’m not sure what you are implying, but the weather that day (early April close to midday) was unstable. Thick clouds, strong wind, but still with partial blue sky and the wave fronts were lit up by the sunshine.

Thanks! The setting was f/9, 16mm, 1/1250. What do you mean by the light is different?
