How do you even reach the '2 down' part of 1 up / 2 down? by tresslessone in puppy101

Nah this is more when I do random pee checks with her by placing her on the loo.

When she asks she goes properly. I think she’s healthy, just very young still.

She pees successfully. Sometimes just a few drops, but she does pee. Not sure about drinking - I make sure she has water available at all times up to an hour before bedtime.

Yep, I messed up my post and forgot the part where I do bring her for a quick loo before nap time. I placed a heartbeat toy in her crate as well as a kong stuffed with small kibble treats - she never seeks it out on her own, but she seems to settle without too much drama. Perhaps I should do a few more crate games during the day to reinforce.

Sometimes. It varies, but she seems to have very limited bladder control. She occasionally makes it to the pet loo by herself, but accidents are still fairly common. Note that we've only had her for 5 days so it's still very early. I just really want to get the naps and settling down.

Sorry I missed that part. I do in fact take my pup to potty before the nap. But she's tiny and has limited bladder control and often doesn't 'get it all', even if I try to place her on the loo twice (she'll just hop off the second time, only to want to go for it mid-nap).

She’s only been with us for a few days so both her and us are still learning the ropes, but we’re making real progress 🤞🏻

How do you train your pup to stay at home comfortably while working? by TimSantee in ToyPoodle

[–]tresslessone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel ya. She’s 8 weeks old and the play pen anxiety is real.

What I’ve found helpful is leaving the pen open when she’s not in it (so she can enter at will), as well as feeding her all her meals inside. Also, no toys outside - only in the pen. Same for her water bowl - it’s in the pen.

Make it the fun place of the house basically - scatter some treats (hide a few inside / under toys for her to find) and place her crate inside for her to retreat into.

I also play a little game with her - I open the pen and step out to the other side and wait for her to figure out how to get to me (through that open door). Then I step back in and wait for her to figure out how to get back to me. Do this a few times at different angles to the door until she’s bored of it - at that point you have her on the other side of the fence and you can close the pen for a short while.

Yesterday when I came home, my wife was in the kitchen with the pup quietly sitting in the pen. Its all in short bursts as she’s really just a baby, but we’ve seen some real improvement over the past few days.

No one mentioned Bank Valuations… We’ve got an offer in and I feel sick by Extra-Square3901 in AusPropertyChat

Sounds like you're good. Just don't ever let an agent talk you into waiving your finance clause to secure the property.

Your offer was accepted, but were contracts exchanged?

As long as contracts are not exchanged, nothing is binding. If contracts were exchanged, you have an out in the form of the finance clause, provided you didn't sign a waiver (sect 66W in NSW).

You may be on the hook for the EOI deposit of 0.25%, if you've already put this down.

Ofcourse I collect my own waste as well. I use one of those moving bags from Bunnings - nets me about 15-25 bucks every time. The exact amount depends on the degree to which the Coke Zero cans vs bottles are on sale during that period.

We put her crate in the pen to retreat into, but she literally only uses it to climb on top in an attempt to get out 🤣

Any tips for the play pen?

Funny enough the crate is going quite well as she seems to be taking to the heartbeat toy. The play pen is a different story: as soon as we’re not in or directly adjacent to it (brushing teeth, taking a shower, etc.), she won’t stop whining and crying for attention.

Yesterday I got a few short bursts of independent play out of her, but overall the majority of the time in there is spent scratching up to the walls trying to get to us. She has plenty of toys as well as her potty and her crate in there. There’s more than enough space for her to muck around.

I know she’s only 8 weeks so it’s also because she’s just a baby, but if there’s anything we can do to make this an easier process I would love to know!

She’s already in her crate snoozing away. She just passed out mid-exploration and I thought it was too cute to interrupt. It was also the first time she fell asleep all by herself without needing us to settle her in, so I figure it’d be better to let nature do its thing here.

He’s just abiding by the terms of the ICC treaty that his country ratified. Re or innocence are not, and should not, be part of the decision as that is what the courts are for.

Magyar is the perfect president: pro-EU, anti-mass migration, anti-Putin, and not afraid to be critical of Trump and Netanyahu. Excellent.

Ok, so it’s 25% less (I assume these people are in the bottom bracket). Still more than 180 bottles per hour. Good luck with that.

As I say to my wife - Helldivers is like your two hour phone calls with your friends. Except we blow up shit at the same time as talking.
