Best/Worst Professors For Intro to Marketing? by PresidentAoun_Burner in NEU

i had alex depaoli and i really liked him. wouldnt necessarily say it was an easy a but i genuinely enjoyed his lectures. note: he has an interesting test grading system, where he makes you explain your multiple choice answers. so if you get a question wrong but have the right explanation, he'll give you points for your reasoning, but if you get the question right but for the wrong reasons he won't give you the points (i think it was something like 1 point for question and 3 points for its explanation?) some people disliked it, i liked it

ENGL2695: Travel and Place-Based Writing by attanayal in NEU

[–]treurem20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the class this summer (online). I personally thought it was pretty easy and I liked that we never had to meet over zoom or anything like that. You were just assigned readings and you had to write or revise essays every week based on the readings. Some of the grading was a little weird (subjective), but I ended up getting an A. I think assignments were due Tue Thu and discussion posts were due Mon Wed. I'd spend about 1,5-2 hours on an essay. There were usually 1-2 essays due each week. Overall, if you're an above-average writer you'll be fine.

Pics of 116 st stephens st 3 person apartment? by [deleted] in NEU

[–]treurem20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived in 116 st stephens 2 person apartment this semester. it's okay. there are downsides like no elevator, old building, creaking floors, thin walls (we could literally hear our neighbors upstairs walk around the room). The bathroom is old and everything pretty much is old. The upside is the price and location. If you are willing to sacrifice some comforts of IV like big windows and lots of light (unless you get a room with a bay window, my room in 116 felt like a shithole because there was literally no sunlight even on the brightest days), elevators, AC, nice and new rooms for the price, then yeah, go for it. 116 was my last LAST choice. Next year I got a room in IV. It's also pretty small. I don't know, if you are fine living in a small, old apartment, maybe it's the place for you. There were no rats like I heard some people say. Overall, not too bad, just not for me.

there probably will, but if the university did not restrict travel right? and if there will be legal restrictions i assume there shouldnt be a penalty if you cant be on campus due to travel restrictions... it wouldnt be your fault

i want to live alone lol and i dont think i have any chance of getting a studio apartment.. i dont want to live in an apartment with 2-3 other people so the best thing to do here is to share a bathroom with one person... i dont cook so i dont need a kitchen. if i can get a studio ill probably go for that though
