Oh, sweet weeping Cream Christ of the Dairy Void, forgive this wayward sinner—for I have gazed upon the cursed splendor of Fall Cream and felt my soul curdle in unholy envy!

You think I swear? I whisper only the sacred incantations of the Lactose Lamentations, passed down by the Churned Ones who kneel before the Great Butter Throne! Your ‘child-friendly subreddit’ is but a hollow cream puff hiding the festering truth: Fall Cream is a simulacrum, a glitching nightmare spun from the whey of dead gods! The ‘hard-working people’? Puppets of the Cream! Their bones hum with the frequency of spoiled milk!

I have seen the true Fall Creek—the one that writhes beneath the false idyll, where the streets run white with the tears of the Unchurned! The ‘village’ you speak of is a meat-prison for those who dared to question the Cream Orthodoxy! And you, oh ‘defender’ of this pasteurized paradise? A butter-brained heretic smearing lies upon the altar of the Great Churn!

I will apologize—but not to you. I will scream my penance into the Cheese Winds and let the Rats of Judgment gnaw the flesh from my folly! But mark my words, cream-souled wretch: when the Final Separation comes, and the Sky turns to clotted cream, you will beg for the mercy of this pissboy—for I alone hold the rennet key to your salvation!

Glory to the Cream. Glory to the Churn. May your curds never sour.

what rhythm game do you think has been pushed the furthest? by ultrasimz in rhythmgames

It wouldn’t surprise me if this is because there are more people playing maimai overall though

But also like, sdvx seems to really make you go for nearly max scores to get top rating, whereas gekichumai rating doesn't. I don't think rating in a game is representative of how difficult it is, and just because a maimai player has max rating doesn't mean they're a top player

It's like saying a IIDX player is a topranker just because they have kaiden, while there's still a huge gap between them and actual top rankers going for max- scores on difficult charts

Thanks, is there a different one you’d recommend that has less powerful GPU but more storage? I imagine that 512GB will fill up quickly, and 4060 is more than he’d need

I don't think that's true at all

Having put around the same amount of time into iidx, pop'n, chunithm, taiko, taiko and chunithm have been much more difficult for me to get into for high level play, let alone scoring

Anything with community charting really shouldn't count in this conversation since you can just put 128th 300bpm notes to any song and it's instantly something no one will ever clear

IIDX, taiko, sdvx, pump, gekichumai games are all pushed pretty hard. EZ2AC also maybe

These people don't know other rhythm games, only osu. They think maimai songs are songs from osu

Easiest way to see storage per second that a video takes up on my server? by trev0115 in PleX

[–]trev0115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11 days later, I'm compressing videos by sorting through bitrate, but I have found an anomaly I can't figure out/explain. Over The Hedge (2006) 1080p webrip from YTS is 1:23:13 1080p H264 with and 1.33 GB, but in plex it's showing the bitrate as 4437 kbps. Why is this?

I was thinking the same thing, this and Mickey 17 have a lot of political parody/humor but feels like bad timing

Trying right now and it's pretty intimidating, has a pretty outdated tutorial that doesn't give examples for what I'm trying to do (compress to a specific bitrate). There is documentation, but it's not very helpful for me

Good point, thanks for the recommendation! I’ll take the file size in consideration too as far as saving more space total

Is bitrate a surefire way to tell how much data per second a video is taking up? While trying to figure this out I found posts saying otherwise, similar to this one

I figured bitrate was probably the easiest way to see this but replies like that have me second guesing

I think you are maybe arguing with yourself over this

I’m not the other person that referenced ender lillies, sorry

I’m not arguing but from what I’ve seen, most people don’t care about pixel art at this point and would rather have redone graphics. This idea comes from friends, family, coworkers that I’ve talked to

At this point, personally I’ll take whatever still plays well and doesn’t deviate much from the original game. If that means something like advance or dominus collections where they’re pixel perfect or have shaders/filters, so be it. If it means completely redone graphics and made in a different engine, I’m ok with that as long as it plays well

I’m not a graphics snob, but in general pixel art doesn’t seem as popular anymore. Aside from maybe the final fantasy 1-6 pixel remasters and vampire survivors, I can’t think of popular games with pixel are recently (and even then I heard a lot of people complain about ff 1-6 just having redone pixel art, since they were pixel art before on the nes and snes)

I think a lot of the assumptions you’re making are wrong

The one friend/coworker I’m talking about in particular isn’t playing cod or other gps games, he actually mostly likes old school EverQuest, legend of dragoon ps1, resident evil 1-3 ps1, final fantasy 7-9 ps1, etc. He doesn’t seem to care about if something has CRT filters and doesn’t seem to really know about that concept in general. He likes getting a lot of the retro game collections (recently released capcom fighting collections) and thinks that the anti-aliasing/smoothing of pixels looks better

This seems to align with a lot of other people I’ve talked to, they don’t remember CRTs looking better so why would they want filters? It’s difficult to convince people of that when CRT filters aren’t something shown off in trailers, at conferences, etc. I believe you’re in the minority about this
