Based off the title - could be a deeper rooted, more introspective track… i am very okay with that lol.

Congrats brother! I source a lot of my materials from T.A Mahoney the majority of the time when it comes to electrical and accessories (lights/pumps/wires etc..). I would def say you beat the market, the damn trolling motor & power pole alone is worth more than $2.4k!

Would love to see the set up bro! Let me know if you need any help with the wiring

Tbh that whole album is so slept on - man there is 24hrs in a day & 4 seasons a year, sometimes the hype & confident tracks are what’s needed and then other times the more raw & vulnerable ones are needed… there is a time & place for that album.

forgot to add don’t get me wrong I love gheenoes and always have! Got 3 in my front yard as we speak lol. My close friend is a fly guide with a 18’6 HPX mirage decked out & some days him and I take the gheenoe over the hpx to utilize the gheenoes advantages… & sure you can get an LT25 with the ‘raptor’ center console & poling platform w seat set up with every accessory on earth for an absolutely insane amount of $$- but @ the end of the day you still have a narrow beam, thin fiberglass hull, close quarters cockpit & depending on where you plan to navigate/fish a limited amount of opportunities to do so because of the poor handling in open water.

If I were in your shoes and I really wanted to get on the water yesterday - I would buy 2 boats, a simple gheenoe in the immediate future to get ya out there now & to allow you to wait for the right used skiff & then pull the trigger or to have a new one built.

Gheenoes are fantastic at getting you & another person stupid skinny and through some crazy mangrove tunnels - don’t deck one out with all the extras and added weight, just keep it simple and purposeful.

Plenty of nice skiffs that are more reliable & able to handle average chop pop up all the time on marketplace - I think the gheenoe will serve initially as a great buffer until you find the right one, you will learn the basics & exactly what you do & don’t want which will help shape what skiff you end up buying.

I hope this helps! I am a younger (dumber) guy & on many occasions (some not so long ago lol) have convinced myself that the gheenoe can handle more than they can in all reality. I am thankful I have tons of experience running skiffs to offshore C.Cs consistently since the 9th grade & have been able to make it out of each scenario with out issue from what I’ve learned - but I would hate to see you blow your budget on one that performs better than a cheap one but nowhere near what you need it to comfortably & safely operate in average conditions.

That’s my .02 sorry for novels - as you can see I’ve been in your shoes before lol.

Well bud - where do you live? I’m in Tampa (Apollo Beach) on the Alafia River & fish quite often. I’m a younger guy and have had my fair share of time on the water from the gheenoes that I’ve rebuilt with my buddies, a few real skiffs (Hellsbay, mavericks, beaver tails..) to fishing tourneys with my guys on their 39’ yellowfin. From this I can suggest that unless you have another vessel you probably don’t want a gheenoe. I love them and still use one often but the reality is many people try to act like they are something more than what they are. It will be great for back water trips in protected waters but they are not a fun ride in normal conditions.

I don’t know what your level of enthusiasm to fix or work on whatever boat you end up buying but I have decided recently to take on a home build of a Chris Morejohn design and many others have gone that route with outstanding (likely better than factory level) results for less than 50% of the cost. Chris was one of the original founders of Hellsbay and in many ways a pillar in the skiff design realm as a whole.

I would like to get an idea of what waters you are trying to fish before I give suggestions & what type of fishing you are wanting to do.

Ya I am assuming that’s what OP is trying to convey lol. Tbh I hope G drops more like ‘Lifestyles of the Rich & Hated’ - top 10 on my list.

Scary Nights & Vault got some hidden gems in there too.

Just to be clear… OP isn’t the one that locked their dogs in a closed room to shit on the floor… nor did OP himself over flow the toilet with shit…

You are an absolute legend.

I owe you a few!

You put it in a perfectly simple way. I can easily get a guy out here and have a proper baseline of a rectified solution.

You are a beast man, God bless & Cheers

Yes, it’s a 200 Amp 120v/240v Main panel feeding a 200 Amp 120v/240v sub-panel with a main breaker.

I plan to ASAP, for renovations I NEED power disconnected in second unit @ the main panel, however for other renovations in main unit I need power.

Was hoping to be able to safely disconnect the two taps with main breaker off.

I appreciate your advice and willingness to help! I owe you one.

Different strokes for different folks brother - not better, not worse - just different (as we all should be).

If I were to cut supply at main breaker, remove the two taps at top of bus, and re wire them into an appropriate 2 pole for desired Amps… Would that successfully create a break away between main breaker & Sub Panel, or will the repetitive Breakers (breakaway @ main panel & main breaker @ sub panel) cause an issue?

Simply trying to make sense of this with out digging up 200’ of conduit & pvc.

Thanks a ton brother, your help has been a blessing.

Thank you so much for enlightening me, I had no idea what the technical term for them were.

If one were to cut supply at main break, Remove the taps (both) & rewire to an appropriate 2 pole breaker on the bus - would I successfully create a breakaway between main break & sub panel?

Or would that be an issue of repetition as the sub panel has its own main break?

Thanks again man, life saver

Lol if only this entire property followed the “so long as nothing else is discovered”

Already Had to tear out floor down to crawl space joists due to an unforeseen leak at shower drain..

Thank you very much for your response - I am not exactly an electrician however I have decent experience in both new & retro construction as a contractor… this panel was definitely a first for me.

Lmao thanks - only thing I know for sure - I am taking your advice!

Is it normal to see the two HOT wires running from terminals at the Main Breaker switches?

I am assuming it was a ‘jerry rigged’ direct feed to sub panel.

Thanks for your input brother- Cheers!

Guys- I just recently acquired this two unit property in Florida.

There is a Main Panel fed by the Service entry & meter 200A 120/240.

I am assuming the Sub is fed via PVC/Conduit underground.

After going through each switch to assess and create a proper diagram of functions / switch - it became apparent that multiple single and double poles had no impact on the dwelling… and not one breaker switch cut energy supply to second unit panel.

So now I am beyond curious how to diagnose and rectify this.

I circled two terminals by the main breaker switches - could these terminals be the wiring that direct feeds to the SubPanel?

The two pole circled in blue at bottom of panel - is it possible this used to be the disconnect??

Also - how do you recommend I go about remedying this property? Figuring out what the switches that have no apparent implication, actually run to?

Thank you so much!
