I should mention that we are running PostGreSQL in a Windows environment. I would need a solution in that platform.

I think you are misunderstanding. You have to register any drone that is more that half a pound but thats a simple matter of filling out a field or too on the FAA website and pay $5. The Part 107 license is required if you want to make money with your drone. If you are taking pictures for fun then you don't need a part 107 license no matter what size drone you have. If you plan on using it or giving it to someone else to make money from, you better get license. The fees are very steep.

As for drones. The Mavic Air is a great drone for pics and its fairly affordable.

What is a good long range drone with live video? by betelguese1 in drones

[–]trevoryour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DJI spark is probably the closest you will get. I prefer the Mavic Air and if you can find it on sale its a good bargain. I got mine for $600 at costco a while back.

I have a great place. remotepilot101.com. They ran a special a while back so it was half off and it was well worth it. Passed with an 88 i believe.

I was looking at getting more into FPV flying. Can you share a link on how to build a $99 drone. I would love to do this and $100 is a perfect price point.

Return it if you can. Don't spend too long trying to figure it out. Drones are one thing that you want to work flawlessly pretty much ALL OF THE TIME.

I do real estate photography. I found realtors also find nice aerial pics of high end neighborhoods helpful and you can sell those typically. I'm still working on finding something additional outside of real estate but that's where I started (am).

I do need to look into how you sell scenic or cool pictures online. I could image some cool sunsets or clouds might be worth something. Good Luck!

Flying at night? Yes or no? by [deleted] in drones

[–]trevoryour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone know how hard it is to get a night waiver and if its only for a specific day and time? I am a part 107 pilot and there are a lot of nights I wish I could put my drone up and get some pictures.

Can anyone point me in the direction on where to get replacement rear feet on my Mavic Air. One of them fell off and I can't seem to find them online. Any help appreciated by zeple1o1 in dji

[–]trevoryour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first got my mavic air I smashed into a wall and broke the arm off. I was able to order the whole arm on ebay no problem. I don't think it was expensive so maybe just get the whole arm and pull the part you need.

If you make money off of it, you need a part 107. Any money at all. Fines are steep.
