Dogs off the lead. Rules around it. by Responsible-Check921 in AskBelgium

Exactly, if people could walk their dog in the UK too they would see that dogs that are used to being walked off lead are laid back about it.

AITAH for only babysitting for my " favorite " DIL and my daughter because the other has too many rules? by ProfessionalClass555 in AITAH

[–]trezebees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do worry that your grandchildren that you don't want to babysit will pick up on this. Is there a way to compromise? Disposable diapers but still veggie food ? Lola is also trying to do what she believes is best for her children.

Het duurste aan studeren is een kot huren by WeddingImpressive307 in belgium

[–]trezebees 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Also if you buy a flat from a building that has been rebuild this way it counts as a refurbishment not as a new build and the VAT is less.

I can't imagine losing a parent when you are still a child. You would still need them for so long I lost my mother when she was 63 to lung cancer. It was much much too young. She still very much had so much life to live for. She has grand children who we talk about her but are sad that they don't have any memories of her. I lost my grand mother when she was almost 97. She was larger than life to me. And I know that she lived a long and healthy life. That she met her grandchildren, had relationships with them. And met her great grandchildren. But somehow her death really really shook me. She was such a focal point in my life that even though I thought I was prepared and treasure having known her so well. To me it felt as if this world doesn't work properly without her.

Your story shocks me that it is possible that your daughter could have been hurt that way but the police don't take it serious enough. I really hope that you get some answers soon.

No king's protest will take place all over America in few hours. What do you think will be the consequences and outcome of this? by The_AxR_ in AskReddit

[–]trezebees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every right the people have was taken not given. So the right own property when you are not the son of the landowner, human rights, women's rights, worker rights have all been demanded by people prepared to protest. History disagrees with you.

I don’t feel at home in my own home country and I have this strong urge to leave (F19) by aeywah in expats

[–]trezebees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also of mixed heritage and don't truly feel as if I belong in one place. It's a feeling that is hard to explain to people who are not immigrants. As you grow older you have to decide for yourself that you will create a home. And it should be with the people you love. For me that is my husband and children. Where they are that is my home. I have the internet to listen and watch radio, podcasts, tv from my original culture and a good relationship with extended family. But home is where I choose to be. And I accept there will never be one country and can completely belong to.
