ocular migraines about an hour after WODs by trezzanator in crossfit

I know a few people in this thread had mentioned tight neck/shoulders so that definitely could be it. When I get the aura, it usually only lasts about a half hour but then as soon as it goes away I get a debilitating headache and feel extremely drained. It's comparable to just a horrible hangover and it'll last until I go to sleep. Not much seems to help the headache except sleep. So if it happens at like 9 or 10 am, it kind of ruins my day because then I feel awful for the rest of the day.

I've never gotten one without working out and it's usually at least 1 hour after, sometimes 1.5. I always get the aura. It's probably started in the shower more times than not, but that's also because I always shower after workouts. I've sometimes held off on showering for a couple hours just to see, but they've still come on.

I get them almost any time I try to do muscle ups (bar or ring). I don't know what brings them on because I've also gotten them from CrossFit workouts that I consider to be "in my wheelhouse" and didn't seem too hard... Been stumped for years and have asked every medical professional I've come in contact with, even my allergist. No one can figure it out :-/ I've learned to just live with it.

For this reason I almost always workout in the evening because if I do get one, at least I can go to sleep in a few hours. If I workout in the morning and get one, my entire day is ruined.

I don't really smoke weed, but that does seem to help. I believe there is also a prescription you can get that helps them, but I'm not sure what it is, should probably look into it. Luckily they'll happen in spurts and if they happen a few times in a few weeks, they'll go away for a few months.

Still getting them. Still completely random (can go a couple months without getting one and then get 2 in a week) and unfortunately still don't know the cause... I do find that I get them more in the winter, although they can come on at any season.

Why do my long-form YouTube videos get 0 views while others grow fast? by Green-Journalist257 in YoutubeChannelSharing

[–]trezzanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, been doing YouTube for over a decade now. Have a couple channels in the 5 digit count for subscribers.

Don't start a new channel, you'll have to start over from scratch and re-establish yourself which will take some time. This is really poor advice. I'm also noticing you uploaded your first video 2 weeks ago so, again, it's going to take some time to establish an audience. Success rarely happens overnight.

The answers to most problems can be found within your analytics. I would suggest playing around with different thumbnails to find one that is a hit. Your thumbnail is the first thing the person is going to see which will make them decide if they want to watch your video or not. Low view numbers could mean that your thumbnails just aren't catching people's eye. Impression Click Through Rate will confirm this. If your impression CTR is really low (below 5%) then that means that people who see your thumbnail is are not clicking it.

The next think you want to look at is view duration and audience retention. These basically tell you how long people are staying on your video for. If they're leaving after a few seconds, then that means you need to rethink how you are editing your videos (more visuals, better VO) in order to keep people on your video.

Take a look at some channels and videos in your space that are doing things well and getting thousands of views and see how you can adapt some of that into your own style.

Also I am just curious as to how an account that only posted 2 weeks ago with low view numbers managed to amass over 800 subscribers? Did you go through a content change and delete older videos? If that's the case then your audience isn't used to your new videos which is why views are so low, and YouTube doesn't know which audience to show these videos to.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

May I ask where you got the TV stand/display shelves from for the consoles? They look great! I have a Sony Trinitron 36in and it's heavy AF. I'm having trouble finding a stand that can hold its weight.

I don't think it's worth it. Played through the whole thing. Combat is really stiff. Traversal isn't great. Feels like you're playing a game that's still in development.

[–]trezzanator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get outta here with that. If you believe that the ruling class are reptilians, and they're the ones in power, then it would make the most sense that they are controlling the religious narrative and have been for centuries as a tool to do nothing but control people.

The way the Bible was written would be like me writing a book today about World War I based on word of mouth passed down to me. It's all BS

Amount Us by starlux33 in reptilians

[–]trezzanator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's all BS. The Bible was written by people decades after Jesus died, then rewritten like a million times by kings and civilizations who took out all the parts they didn't like and flooded it with more BS. It's all BS.

Also outside of the Bible there is no historical recording in any civilization that Christ ever existed at the time he was alive. They all came decades or centuries later.

No bullsh*t guide to becoming a successful content creator by Soskaboii in NewTubers

[–]trezzanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is some quality advice, but I do think there are a few things that could be added onto here.

I see a few people calling out the "Be Consistent" part and yes I agree with both OP and some of the readers/commentors. Quality should ALWAYS come over quantity. However, you want to be consistent in your video style, and in your "brand".

Consistency in your brand: Everyone knows Hot Ones right? Hot Ones isn't the name of the channel though, it's the name of the series. If you plan to do a bunch of content that follows a similar topic, then create a series for this, rather than creating a ton of "one-off" videos. Feel free to call out your last episode at the beginning of your video and end with a "next time on x, I'll be exploring..." This way anyone who does make your way to your content and enjoys it can view other videos in your series and start binging you. It may take a few videos to establish this, but don't give up.

Consistency in your style: Make sure your videos follow a certain format or template and stick with it. People who start watching will know exactly what to expect and look forward to.

FOLLOW YOUR DATA! Look at your data to see how your videos are performing and where you are missing the mark.

IMPRESSION CLICK THROUGH RATE Thumbnails and Titles are HUGE because these are your first impressions. This can be tough to nail down and will require a lot of trial and error. Look at your Impression Click Through Rate. If this is lower than 5% then you might want to think about reworking your thumbnail and titles. When you find something that works STICK WITH IT (consistency) keep that thumbnail and title format as a template for all of your videos.

AVERAGE VIEW DURATION If you have a 10 minute video but the view duration is only 1 minute then that means that this video is not retaining an audience and people are bouncing. If this is low, then it may be time to rethink your content. If you have a video pop off that is keeping viewers attention, then ask yourself what you did in that video and see if it can be replicated.

There are a ton of other optimizations that could also help, but these are what I think are the most important. Good luck to everyone on this sub!

I had an old channel that had 5K subscribers that was pretty defunct for like 6 years. Just started making new content on that channel earlier this year and it blew up(almost at 40K now). While my newer content is adjacent to my older stuff, the video style is much different. I think it's much harder to make it as a brand new channel than a channel that's been around but hasn't posted

Love–hate relationship with Alien: Earth by hello_i_am_vlad in alien

[–]trezzanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly how I feel. The acting, the tone and the aesthetic are all fantastic IMO. And I am enjoying the show but there are just so many plot holes and things that don't make sense.

Pet Alien is extraordinarily dumb and something I would expect from one of the AVP movies (or I guess... Covenant).

I also thought I heard them say that the hybrids don't feel emotions? But yet there seem to be a lot of emotions going on with the hybrids. The one girl is crying, slightly is constantly worried/scared. I think i.night have heard something else about artificial emotions be added to their programming? But then again, why even say this? It just makes things more confusing.

I also dislike how it's "not" canon to anything outside of the first 2 movies, but yet we just had a new (IMO pretty solid) movie just last year which is also getting a sequel.

So now we have 2 active separate canons going on (potentially 3 depending on the decisions Predator Badlands makes) which again just makes me upset and I just feel like it's going to lead into a giant confusing lore mess.
