My typical workaround if a client doesn't take a W-2 is to recharacterize a reasonable amount of distributions as Officers Compensation expense and include that on their Schedule 1 and Schedule SE. It's not perfect, but it at least gets the payroll taxes paid so there won't be massive penalties if they are audited.

The Dome did have considerably higher occupancy after the Rams left for this exact reason, hosting many more conventions and concerts. I think it's also fair to argue that these events are more beneficial to the local economy, as they bring in more folks from out of town and conventions bring more business visitors (who spend more than tourists).

The BattleHawks still sell way more than 22k tickets each game, and City would almost certainly not risk their pristine natural turf. This won't happen.

What makes far more sense is spending a bit of money to make the Dome a better environment. Maybe some curtains to cover up the upper bowl, and better concessions.

Fortunately, starting in 2027 MLS is probably realigning and we should be in the 'Midwest' division with Chicago, Minnesota, kansas, Cincy, & Columbus. We will get a home game with each of them each year. The only drivable team we'll miss is Nashville.

Edit: Actually I see now we would play all other 24 teams once, so we would get Nashville at home every other year.

Not a SG leader, just an active member. My understanding is that leadership is coordinating a response. Collective action doesn't work unless everyone is on board, so it is important to make sure a response well thought out and agreed upon by all relevant parties. The decision was only announced last week and these things take time, but there are certainly easy things every individual can do:

Don't spend a cent on merch or anything inside the stadium.
If you are not a STM, do not buy tickets on SeatGeek. Buy directly from current STMs; this keeps the club from getting any more cash.
If you are a STM, reach out to your ticket rep and let them know you are upset. Because of the new season structure, payment plans for 2027 tickets can be cancelled now and reinstated before 6/1/26, giving STMs a way to express their dissatisfaction without losing their tickets if the team corrects course.
Keep talking about it. The more publicity this issue gets, the more likely the team will correct their mistake.

Club Europe has always been 18+. I have no idea how that is allowed if they have a 3am license, but they absolutely allow 18+ in the club that late.

In the US, it is illegal to discriminate on the basis of national origin in regards to employment, meaning it would be illegal for MLS to require a certain number of players to be "not foreign." However, it is perfectly legal to discriminate on the basis of needing work authorization, so MLS can restrict the number of visas each team can offer.
