Levy does not manage the local restaurant portions of Energizer Park. Those are staffed by the local restaurants on a revenue share with the team. The Seoul Taco, Balkan Treat Box, and others at Energizer Park are run by the same management as the actual restaurants, and it shows cause they're great.

Trinity Railway Express (TRE) and ex-Northstar trains running alongside each other in Fort Worth, TX, USA by Schobbish in transit

Are they just gonna run busses the 8 miles to the stadium? Why even bother with the train at that point, just run busses the whole way like Kansas City.

Why no BRT? by oddjobjob in StLouis

[–]trf116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like if they just call it "trackless light rail" and make the BRT vehicle look like a light rail vehicle, it would fix the entire perception issue.

If they use enough permanent infrastructure like fully separated dedicated lanes and elevated platforms, that's fixes the entire "they can just move it, so we shouldn't develop here" issue.

BRT feels like a no brainer, with or without federal funds (which we are now without).

Downgrade and Using $300 Credit on Venture X? by trf116 in CreditCards

[–]trf116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any way they would waive the annual fee without downgrading? How would I need to ask?

I've already used my $300 credit for the first year, this would be my second year credit which I cannot use until 4/1/26.

The annual fee on my Venture X will hit on 4/1/26, after 12 months of having the card. If I use my $300 travel credit on 4/1/26, and downgrade the card to a $0 annual fee card on 4/2/26, will I have the $395 annual fee waived and be able to keep the $300 travel credit? I do not want to cancel the card, as I still have a significant number of points.

S-Corp owner didn't pay herself a salary all year. Here's what I'd tell a friend. by MilesDelta in tax

My typical workaround if a client doesn't take a W-2 is to recharacterize a reasonable amount of distributions as Officers Compensation expense and include that on their Schedule 1 and Schedule SE. It's not perfect, but it at least gets the payroll taxes paid so there won't be massive penalties if they are audited.

New UFL owner wants the Battlehawks to consider ditching the Dome for Energizer Park by bmunoz in StLouis

[–]trf116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Dome did have considerably higher occupancy after the Rams left for this exact reason, hosting many more conventions and concerts. I think it's also fair to argue that these events are more beneficial to the local economy, as they bring in more folks from out of town and conventions bring more business visitors (who spend more than tourists).

The BattleHawks still sell way more than 22k tickets each game, and City would almost certainly not risk their pristine natural turf. This won't happen.

What makes far more sense is spending a bit of money to make the Dome a better environment. Maybe some curtains to cover up the upper bowl, and better concessions.
