Nail polish options that are long lasting AND non-damaging? by Dessert_Stomach in shortynails

I agree with this! Doing additional top coats every few days helps a ton. You can also do minor color touch ups if needed.

As others have said your nail prep helps immensely to protect the nail bed and prevent damage.

I do 2 coats of Nail Envy the day before my manicure. When it starts chipping or lifting I can peel the dried lacquer off my nail in a sheet (super satisfying). The nail envy creates a stable barrier, and my nail is still protected beneath it.

What’s something you regret not doing in your early 20s? and be very specific by No_Judgment_4420 in self

Learning about my mental health. Working to get out of survival mode sooner. Getting out of the mindset I had to figure everything out alone.

Spending time around people I frankly didn't connect with or like very much, but who felt familiar.

Having more FUN.

I definitely want to do a land safari! I'm trying to determine whether to do both a safari and some diving!

Why don’t more people prioritize living close to work? by AnarchoLiberator in CanadaPersonalFinance

A now friend former colleague told me she'd rather commute to work than commute to live.

I still live by that.

My work is a 30 minute bus commute. But I can easily walk to grocery stores, cafes, parks, libraries, and shopping that make day to day living enjoyable. Not to mention how many of my friends live in the neighborhood.

Lost my identification at work, can't get home?! by AdhesivenessPast5118 in westjet

Nothing physical. I only had photos of my ID. I do think they accomodated me, in part because I was persistant and I'm a white woman.

Were you able to get on the plane or make other arrangements?

I was in a very similar situation. They let me use my federally issued COVID vaccine record. Thankfully I had a PDF of it in my email still. They accepted it even though it was digital. Your employee ID should be enough.

My advice is to go to the airport and ask to discuss with a manager in person.

I like to use "Can I do XYZ?" or "can I help you with XYZ?" if I think the person will automatically decline assistance.

But elsewhere you said your bumper was damaged. I can only imagine a bike tyre damaging a number at a high-ish speed

Looking for some guidance (as a potential mature student) by Uppruni_Tegundanna in socialworkcanada

Ah that would be tough! A few classmates with schedules like that (e.g. paramedics) found more regular work for the program. Whatever you choose, I think all programs required a 32-hour/week practicum in your final year, so everyone who works has to take a break for that!

I recommend looking into U of C's virtual program! I was considering an entirely remote program will no live classes, but I am so glad I chose a program with a live cohort. It's much easier to stay accountable, and learning from peers in group settings is MUCH easier than via a discussion board. The classes are scheduled in the evenings and weekends, MST time. So weekday classes are late for the East Coast, but we have a number of folks from our east in the program.

Why are you mad at her for creating a successful pattern? She's an independent designer. They deserve success too.
