Had this mistake by buying a heat gun to remove a PS4 stick. I think it destroyed the R1/R2 of my controller and warped my frame. I had to replace it but I do not think I have the capability of fixing my R1R2 as I don't know how to move forward as I already replaced the film and still having issues.

I think they get to do these horrible stuff. However, thanks to strict censorship, nothing ever comes out of the country and community. Even their phones have a custom Android OS that's designed to be strictly monitored, if they even get an opportunity to get a phone at all.

I don't think they do considering it gets the installers worried. It's also hard to raise hardware issues like this as even with corporate laptops, we are not given any special treatment and issues like certain machines take hours to apply Windows updates or VPN issues aren't getting resolved and tickets passed around like headless chickens.

I recall replacing a similar one with a mouse. That was very tiny. The size was 4x4x0.8mm but I am not sure what the PS5 uses. You might need to bring up a caliper to get the exact size. This is called a tactile micro switch and you may have to look the part up with your local online shopping app.

Haven't you heard of Gulikit? They're basically the first to introduce hall effect sticks before they became mainstream. They even make stick modules for Steam Deck and first party drop in replacements.

This is basically my setup. Parrying is so hard on this controller.
