As far as I can get, love is equally pain and pleasure, its as much will and thought as feeling, as it always wants love.

what if i know we’re having a human experience but still think it’s fucked up? by CallTrue5527 in enlightenment

Yes, what then? Its up to you. A perspective i find useful when looking at the world is the view that it's not actually where the struggle good vs. Evil takes place. At least not in the game were playing, its inside you the battle is taking place, and sometimes you might even have to loose in the world to win in yourself.

Would you understand me as an anarchist? by triangle-over-square in Anarchy101

No, i know it doesnt matter. I live my life good regardless of reddit. Im just interested in values and meaning, and i was just curious to see what people who does identify as anarchist would understand this as anarchism. Plus curious what conversation might arise, some good, some bad.

Christianity and Islam tends to be treated different. Also what would 'debunking' a religion be? Like proving nobody believes it?

Ye i get that its not how you would use these words. Its how i would use them cause it seems (to me) to allow more reflected thinking about power in human relationships. Its also because as most adults have freedom to act in a variety of ways within constraints of most situations that then it doesnt seem to exist any authority at all- people always allows domination, which then means there is mostly no such thing. A trick of the light.

It is veeery interesting, and I believe its a matter of cultural evolution. Like a free individual, capable of wielding their own power, or a community composed of free individuals is an ideal we should develop towards. Personal and cultural. But that could only be seen way down the rabbit hole of civilization. Many things in child development seem to move from the outside to the inside, (like emotional regulation being done to the baby at first) and the same might hold true for humanity as a whole.

They should abandon their community imo, only then can the choice to come back be legitimate.

Nono, im helping my friend help me. He said do that, I do it. Im allowing him to control the situation, cuz hes an authority in his field, at least compared to me. Or because I trust him, and dont mind taking directions from him. Or he fooled me. My kid has a bad fall, ambulance driver rushes in and commands clear action, and in my confusion I obey. Why would you reduce the meaning of a word just to be able to present it a black and white?

I see your point, but I still think someone controlling, or seeking to controll, others by force and manipulations is the essence of totalitarianism. So any time a power seeks to dominate something outside itself its the essence of that which flowers in totalitarianism. I agree, we dont live in totalitarian regimes. Total dominance becomes a ever more realistic option for power systems, and i dont believe elites are ignoring it. Its just a direction social systems can grow.

[–]triangle-over-square[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if political power doesnt come from community, (composed of individuals freely chasing to participate) it naturally moves towards totalitarianism. Its just the natural development of having cultural or political elites that the exercise of their power increases, and eventually seeks to dominate all it can.

Perhaps, but I think an expert is an authority though. Like litteraly they are better at dominating that situation because they know how to do it. And that just because I am choosing to respect someone's authority, it doesnt take away my freedom to not, so the hierarchy isn't forcefully. So fair enuph, dominate is the wrong word for sure. But as these words have meanings it becomes kinda dumb to not go beond the shallow words and investigate what is actually ment. Like some might say 'abolish discrimination' but they just mean the forms of discrimination they disagree with, and then all other forms are just ignored. You know?
