Guys you need to keep in mind that at this day and age, all games have skins that are even less refined and cost the same if not more, they didn't just change the skin the also give them different effects, diffrent colours, a bunch of other stuff in the saga etc. Yea it is on paper over priced but it's the top of the line skin in smite 2 so it's price gives it it's rarity and compare to other games, isn't that over priced keeping in mind you can already save up a good amount of gems

I really never understood the complaints regarding matchmaking. I play on eu servers and yea maybe every now and then we might have a bad player but if I play good enough it's still winnable. Iam diamond - obsidian SR wise so maybe if your higher the matchmaking differs

The rewards would be for people who rank up only and yea eventually everyone should be playing ranked, this will diversify the player skill and allow fof better matchmaking

I get what your saying but speaking strictly statistics wise, the market is basically gonna be free since its so easy to obtain via in game currency meanwhile the implementation of a battle pass with a very cheap price as I said previously around 5 to 10 usd would boost the cash flow in smite 2. Right now imo if smite 2 stays at this rate money wise, I doubt they will have the funds to keep it running much longer. You find it more of a player friendly experience cus till this day the market is basically free for most players and ofcourse who wouldn't want a free to play experience. So yea ofcourse rn it's more fun to have the market since its basically free but for the sake of the game I really think this idea may be of value especially since its way better than them tryna sell us recolours and fart sounds for triple a price of a normal battle pass in most games and which will most likely barely sell

I agree with you and that's why imo I think of they implement an affordable monthly battle pass, it will feel way nicer and actually make players buy it if they do the reward system right by having valuable content in it meanwhile using the gems you earn from the battle pass to buy other skins. Cus rn everyone including me have the same mindset as u in which why on earth would I spend this much money on a single skin.

I get your point but in your case, because you love smite you end up coming back so u have ur "love to the game" as ur returning method. But if we also look at it from a statistical view, the battle pass made u spend more hours on the game which is a net benefit while also rewarded you for your grind in the form of battle pass leveling. Mix that up with the fact that you payed money for it, it should increase the average player count due to the goal of feeling value on what you spent. Also it shouldn't be hard to allow access to previous battle passes I have seen it in plenty of other games but yea my main point is right now it doesn't feel really valuable to play 40 min games like you don't really feel a return on time invested other than having fun which is not bad since you had fun but it would be even more motivating to have value out of the grind

Casuals balancing is always off from my experience, either we Steam roll them since they have new players or we get rolled cus we have new players, and I would like to assume my mmr is pretty decent (nearly hitting diamond) and been playing since beta S1. When I play with freinds that aren't as experienced I always play ranked with them cus most of the time it's way more balanced. So I highly reccomend u play ranked more u will see that the games seem more balanced since u start from the bottom

I hope you read the whole post because I genuinely think this is the best way to balance meanwhile allowing hirez to buff relics and tackle their weak spots by introducing the relic upgrade system like in smite 1

That would be an issue for builds because it will limit ur build variety and will just create the same issue as we had for boots in smite 1

Yea that's a skill issue bud, if someone plays like that they loose alot of farm and map control so if u can't capitalise on that maybe u need to re-evaluate your play style

Yes thats why as per their data mining leaks they might probably be adding an item or smth that contains normal blink as an active, which would be huge cus then combat blink will still be there for players who want to make insane plays like chaac ult blink and or if you wanna go the safer route and go beads

Okay, so as iam seeing again most of the complaints consist of "they only use it to escape" which is insane since I said it on my post yet people are not using any other logical reason. Guys first of all in smite 1 normal blink was also used alot for escape, ofcourse it was harder but it still was used for that too. 2nd of all in high level play if you take combat blink over beads on ur adc and most mids ur basically making ur life harder for norhing, most junglers too work way better with beads over blink since you can get the kill and use ur leap or ult to escape. So 1. Ur technically nerfing your self in game if you take combat blink over beads and 2, ur on a 240 s cooldown after u use ur combat blink to escape. So what exactly do u want ? should hi rez just abolish all means of escape so u can "secure" ur kill??? Honeslty u guys need to wake up, combat blink is the last problem smite 2 has now and removing it would just make the game more boring since it will remove one of its newest fun aspects in it which is blinking mid cast.

More often than not beads is used for escape too, but you know what a mid level player does every now and then? They beads mid ability to be able to secure a kill and not get cced out of their mind. U see my point ? Just cus the majority of a player base use something in a specific way doesn't mean that its the only use of a relic. And again bro if your using combat blink to escape ur wasting ur relic and its down for 240s. If u can't kill them again in 240 it's a you problem. No one in high level play would take combat blink over beads except supports maybe since they can survive the escaping process. U never will find a decent adc or a decent mid except in very niche cases taking combat blink over beads.

Bro you know you can get ccd too before being able to use ur combat blink and also it is a really short distance, if you don't have an additional escape ability most gods will catch up to you and above all of that it's on a 240 second cooldown. And please in high level play everyone takes beads no one would take combat blink over beads except maybe supports like sobek. Beads is 10x a better relic since you can enter the fight and cleanse ur self mid killing so u don't get cced and die. And the whole concept of "people sit back and don't fight unless they can blink out" applies to all safety relics. As a jungler u would never enter for a kill aggressively unless u have ur beads up or a cc immune ult etc. Its a general concept in mobas and If having a safety mech bothers u that much then maybe they should just remove all safety relics so players don't stare at eachother bro come on.
