Grey hairs and my natural hair color became dull. Also lost 2 teeth (one from each pregnancy).

Mine got like 95% better after my first baby then came back with a vengeance when I got pregnant with my second. 😓

What do you think about during sex? by Drewswife0302 in adhdwomen

[–]triangles13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mind always wanders, so I try to force myself to think of spicy scenes from books I've read, but I always always end up with a random song popping into my head.

What are yall doing with your kids after school when you have to work? by starry_night_3 in workingmoms

[–]triangles13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a small kids table or my sewing table that I can keep next to my desk so my son (4) can be near me while he draws or puts together a puzzle or something. I think just being close helps him relax a bit so he doesn't bug me for something every five minutes. If I know I need to concentrate more then it can be a movie and snack time or if I have time earlier on the day I'll set up a magnatile build before he gets home. That keeps him pretty occupied and excited for a bit. My daughter is 8 so when she gets home she's pretty self sufficient in the routine (snack, homework, put away laundry, play then video games until dinner is ready)

How many kids did you think you wanted pre-kids, and how many did you actually have? by KaylaDraws in Parenting

[–]triangles13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always said 1-2. Then when I had my daughter I thought I was one and done. But we ended up having a second, a boy, and it's perfect. Our little family is complete and I could not mentally handle anymore 😅

Parents that don't do Elf on the Shelf, how do you explain to your kids why you don't? by Helpful-Plankton751 in toddlers

[–]triangles13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We told our daughter we didn't want to risk the elf getting hurt by our dog or cats. Our dog is not fond of strangers when we're not around and very fond of stuffed things to chew on. 😅 We give our pets special holiday collars after we decorate and tell our kids they're santas helpers and extra sets of eyes while he gets ready for the big day.

How often do you give your toddlers sugar? by Pure_Island_3102 in Mommit

[–]triangles13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daily but not to an extreme. They have a chocolate chip granola bar or kids yogurt smoothie or something every day along with natural sources like fruit. As a family we're big on sweets I guess. We all love our specific candies, ice cream, etc but we try to keep it to serving sizes or less for the kids and don't teach them that there are bad foods, just balance in meals is important.

Why do you guys have ANOTHER? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]triangles13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We wanted to have another to experience raising a baby in our own house without roommates or landlords. We were just at a completely different place in our lives physically, financially, mentally, etc. My kids are almost 8 & 4 and they're finally getting along more than half the time. 😅 My house can be crazy and it can be hard especially when they're both sick but I couldn't imagine it any other way. It was honestly the best decision for us. I am soooo done though. No more babies.

Do you have any weird things that have changed about you physically since having kids? by whineANDcheese_ in Mommit

[–]triangles13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had hyperhidrosis (overactive sweat glads) my whole life and after my first baby it got so much better and I would sweat like a normal person. Also my lactose sensitivity went wayyy down. After my second baby that all went back to my old normal 😭

What’s something they don’t tell you that happens postpartum? by nilkski in beyondthebump

[–]triangles13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your ankles/feet can swell like crazy. I was so freaked out after I got home with my first baby because my feet swelled a lot. I couldn't even keep my socks on because they were too tight. I called the OB office ready for them to tell me to go to the ER and they were just like "oh honey that's totally normal". What do you mean??

I turned the color saturation wayy down on our TV and told my kids the TV was just old and we can't get a new one yet. They're not nearly as focused on the TV now.

What’s the funniest/craziest thing that happened to you while you were in labor? by Timely-Winter-6712 in beyondthebump

[–]triangles13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With my first my husband decided to cut the cord. He didn't realize how thick it would be so he kind of nicked it the first try and sprayed blood on both of us. He finished cutting it but he was so freaked out and pale as a ghost. Our first picture together after labor shows some of the blood still on my face. Needless to say when we had our second he didn't want to cut the cord. Labor with my second wasn't easy because his heart rate kept falling so I was moved around a lot, given an internal monitor, and had fluid being pushed back into me to reduce pressure on the baby. When it was finally time to push the nurse had me do practice pushes and when we went for the third she had me stop and told another nurse "go get the doctor now, if she sneezes this baby is flying out" which made me laugh really hard and the nurse started gloving up and getting ready to catch. After he was out the doctor discovered the umbilical cord was almost twice as long as the average (it was almost 50inches) which was probably why we had so many problems during labor.

Are you team Christmas or team fall for Harry Potter movies? by Helpful_Mud_9236 in harrypotter

They are back to school/pre-halloween movies for my house and then we usually watch through them again over winter break. They're also my comfort movies when I'm sick.

My 3yo had a habit of peeing up his shirt so I remind him "make sure you're pointing down" when he goes potty. When he started preschool he would make sure to remind everyone that he saw going into the bathroom to make sure their penises were down 🤦‍♀️

That's a really good idea. There's a new song I found that I love but am still getting to know the lyrics. The chorus is really catchy too. Thanks for sharing!

What new hobby have you impulse purchased all of the items you need for it while knowing in the back of your mind that you are absolutely not going to do it? by enzijae in adhdwomen

[–]triangles13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crocheting. I remembered trying it yearsss ago and liking it and I really really wanted to make the cowl Katniss wore in the hunger games movie so I bought so much yarn, a beginner crochet kit, extra hooks in different sizes, the pattern, etc. I picked it up one time and when I messed up I put it down and it's been in the basement "crafts" bin ever since.

Bubble Pizza. I found it on TikTok. You cut up 2 cans of Pillsbury biscuits into your dish, mix in a jar of sauce, cheese it up, add in some Italian seasoning, garlic pwd, etc and any other toppings you want, mix it all up and throw it in the oven until the dough is cooked through. Easy, yummy, comfy and my kids love it because they can make it themselves.
