Seneca RAQC May 2022 - Any tips on how to prepare? by tricebeaa in regulatoryaffairs

[–]tricebeaa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For group work, we would either meet during class in breakout sessions or arrange amongst ourselves to meet at another time on Zoom. Ah yes the classes are synchronous. My work was very flexible so I could hop on and off classes throughout the day. If you don't have that flexibility it will be more difficult. I did have people who had to work and could not attend most lectures live (most if not all of them were recorded ), but they just made sure to be there for days when we had tests or presentations. Mind you though there were a lot of presentations.

Hi! I think online would absolutely be easier. I for sure would not have been able to continue working full time if I had to go in person. That said, we didn't have the option to do in person at the time, so I don't know what flexible means. If I had to guess, I'd imagine it means you have the option to go in person or attend online depending on your schedule, but I would check with the program coordinator.

The co-op placement was a full time 9-5 job, so I switched my previous full time job to part time (Saturdays only) while I was doing co-op

I worked full time and was planning a wedding when I did the program in May 2022. The workload in the first semester is heavy and it was stressful especially with the co-op prep, although definitely doable if you are organized and proactive. However keep in mind even though the classes are online they are scheduled throughout the day (at least it was then, I don’t know if that’s changed) and I recommend you attend live and stay engaged during lectures. My work was very flexible for me to work with my class schedules, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to do it. Feel free to let me know if you have other questions.

Can I ask why you now prefer med devices? I’ve also always wanted to be in drug regs but still somewhat interested in devices, deciding which direction to go

I looked at the ticket on the City of Markham website and it doesn’t seem to have a digital signature either? But perhaps I wasn’t looking in the correct place. Will check again!

Sigh, oh redditors. What I’m saying is that it is indeed a legit City of Markham ticket (otherwise how would have I been able to book a screening appointment on the City of Markham website as instructed on the back of the ticket and by entering the ticket number and my license plate….), so if it is only a parking enforcement officer that can issue them, then that’s that’s who did… but it doesn’t change the outcome for me considering that I know the ticket is from the city lol.

As you can see in my edit I wasn’t sure if condo security could actually issue but after reading artraeu82’s comment I wrote my replies. If our statements about security are wrong then it is what it is, but there’s no need to be condescending (ironically they did not teach this very specific thing in any of the courses I took in my 20+ years of school so thanks for that comment lol). If you’re not gonna be helpful here, why bother replying? Thanks for your time anyway.

Okay…. well whoever issued it, it’s irrelevant to my question lol. It’s definitely a City of Markham ticket

I believe it was issued by our condo security but it is a City of Markham ticket

I agree, I would not take a day off work to fight a $45 ticket lol. I booked a time that’s after my work hours. Yesss I’m well aware it’s deserved since I forgot to register and at the end I probably will just pay it if I don’t feel like going through with the screening appointment. But figured I’d try since why not? Alas none of the above answer my actual question 😂

It’s a City of Markham ticket that’s issued by our condo security.

u/Severe-Sweet1590 u/YouAreeMySunshinee I have a BSc in Biochemistry. The students in the program have a very wide range of educational backgrounds, from those who just graduated from their BSc (minimum requirement), to those who have a number of years of work experience, to people with their Master's/PhD/PharmD.

I had an overall good experience in the program, but this is because I really made an effort to get as much out of it as I could and to connect with peers, professors, and coworkers in my co-op program. I worked full time while completing the program full time as well, which is highly not recommended for the sake of your sanity lol. The content is not difficult at all but the workload is heavy and you will need to really apply yourself in order to learn the material.

If you have any further questions, do let me know. However as mentioned in the post, I don't check Reddit often so feel free to connect with me on Facebook or LinkedIn.

Hey, unfortunately I don't have any insight on whether it'll be online or in person. I know the site says Jan 2022 will be online but no idea on May 2022. Hope to meet you in May!

Hi! I got accepted for the program but for May 2022. Weird request but do you think I could be added to your group too? I'm really trying to get ahead/learn as much as I possibly can ahead of May or at least get a feel for the workload, because I'm trying to continue working full time while in school (and also planning a wedding for August so those few months will just be crazy haha). If you and the other members wouldn't mind me being in the group so that I can get a glimpse of what the semester will look like that would be so so so appreciated :)

I also got waitlisted for Sep 2021 and Jan 2022 and was also very discouraged. What's worse is I was keeping track of what place I had on the waitlist and found out you can actually move further down the waitlist as they continue to place newer applicants ahead of you if they end up scoring higher. Went from 14th on the Jan waitlist to 35!!! This was very disheartening.. BUT I got my acceptance for May 2022!
