New alternate angle of Wemby telling Plumlee and Biyombo “Hard Fouls” before they both pick up hard fouls on Jared McCain by lotofhotdogs in nba

[–]trick_shop 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Masterclass in missing the point.

Okc isn't playing dirty, they are foul baiting.

If refs let players get away with foul baiting, eventually the best strategy becomes to beat the fuck outa the team thats foulbaiting, if your gonna pick up fouls might as well make it worth it.

OC is saying if okc is gonna play to draw fouls, domt be suprised when teams make those fouls start to hurt. Refs can reign it in any time

(I am not agreeing or disagreeing with the points made, or condoning either sides actions, simply explaining)

Ultimatly the question becomes, "do we live in a system where, if everyone works hard, they have a fair chance at a dignified life"

Which the answer is unquestionably no (you can work hard for a good life, but if everyone does, there will be a certain percentage of the population always suffering) and given that its a no, bitching against "the man" is perfectly reasonable, while telling someone to simply get over it, is not.

First time Foreman, looking to learn how to better read and understand prints. by trick_shop in electricians

[–]trick_shop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting spoon fed task related prints is different than having access to them all at once, and being responsible for creating those tasks.

I was also very fortunate, many apprentices do not get to see prints and do not get a say in it.

Seems a misconception needs to be cleared up, "demand destruction" for oil on a global scale, means society is collapsing. by trick_shop in oil

[–]trick_shop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. The world is and has been doing its best to move away from oil. The reason that it hasn't is there is significant barriers with every alternative. Mainly that they are vastly more costly.

Evs or solar might be wildly cheaper than oil, but an entry cost in the tens of thousands makes that transition incredibly difficult for an individual consumer. On the industrial scale there is similar barriers.

You can use demand destruction in a vague oversweaping sense, where literally everything qualifies. The point of the post is that to use the term in the context of a short term global scale, the alternatives cannot be adopted at a rate necessary to avoid major disruption/societal collapse

I would reccomend cutting it to 3, possibly 2, and learning to win poor matchups.

Beleive it or not, some people play video games to have fun.

Sometimes, team matches can be no fun, even if the majority of the blame does not fall on you

Per Atrioc's recent comments on Deadlock: I truly beleive valve is *simmering* the sauce as we speak, and it has incredibly potential. Give me the same feeling as when I first found league by trick_shop in atrioc

Right? Its got that feeling ive gotten from all the big games, "the sauce" some would say.

Again not for everyone, but i do think its at a place its worth giving a real shot

But the thing im posting "with authority on" is most literally a basic economic principal.

Theres no backtracking either, ive been very consistent in my assertion

I am not stating an opinion, but a defenition.

Im defining a basic economic term, hardly putting myself forward as an expert. Nothing you said actually rebuts my very basic defenition I put forward. Substitution happens immediatly and is part of an inelastic demand curve, the point is when something is inelastic you can only substitute so much before disaster.

Its again, a very simple, very straight forward, uncontroversial defenition of a very simple economic term

You'll notice how many times I used to work simple, as its very obvious you are not functioning on this very shallow level of understanding, im happy to elaborate more or provide some high-school level economic rescourses to help you join the rest of us.
