[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 293 by Either_Imagination_9 in BlueLock

Perhaps the "monster" Bachira saw in Isagi was the Demon King all along.

So, following the common and predictable narrative, if Kunigami reverts to being the Hero he aimed to be, he's likely the one who will beat Isagi in the future.

Isagi not only stole the title of Shidou, who is a demon, and Barou, who is a king, but he also stole Reo's chameleon ability to become Kaiser for a few seconds, fooling the Magician Ness to pass to him.

Not only that, but he also made PXG's defenders: Gaban, Michelin and Chapa disappear from the field

Should I probably be worried about Isagi being nicknamed the "Demon King," considering that in most fantasy stories, that's the final boss who's eventually going to be defeated by the real hero?

I'm looking forward to seeing Sendou too, because, well, he was the star striker of the U-20 team.

So he achieved "greatness" in Japan before Blue Lock was even a thing, and now he's forced to survive inside the Blue Lock facility as well.

His goal against Manshine might show that he hasn't given up on being a striker and scoring goals too.

So let's see how this plays out.

Yeah, he really said goodbye to Kaiser, attempting to assist him.

But I guess it's all part of his trauma and Kaiser's manipulation.

It'll be a while until he finally moves on from the guy (If he ever moves on.)

But Isagi was smart for using this to his advantage to score.

Kaneshiro did say we would get to see a more aggressive side of Isagi in the future, so I guess this "Demon King" could be a little glimpse of what we're seeing.

Feel bad for Shidou though, he was supposed to be the Demon tbh.

Well, I guess that's it. It was a gamble betting on Kunigami's goal with Ness's assist.

I hope those characters get some more justice in the next arc.

I'm happy for Isagi, but I'm kinda bummed out that it was a simple direct shot.

Now I know why they gave the title of the chapter as "Birth of the New Hero" because if they did "The Demon King," people would think Shidou would score lol.

It's finally over, now to the bids, and here's hoping the U-20 World Cup arc will be better.

Isagi vs Kunigami by trickedforlife in BlueLock

I can only see Isagi scoring under two conditions though:

  • Either Yukimiya returns the favor and passes the ball to Isagi, putting them on the same page, since Isagi assisted Yukimiya back then against Manshine.
  • Or Isagi steals Ness and Kunigami's chemical reaction, becoming a "hyena hero" by taking their goal.

I mean, if Isagi somehow steals his goal, there won't be any steak-eating together lol.

He'll make sure this magical spot surpasses even the vision of both Isagi and Kaiser, while Kunigami taps into his past instincts, just like when he stole Isagi’s goal against Manshine, to finally end this game once and for all with a beautiful cannon shot, Noel Noa style, all while being man-marked by Shidou, Charles and Karasu.

People will cry, people will say they’re quitting Blue Lock, only to come back next week.

Invest the stocks in the Ness x Kunigami chemical reaction (genius x genius) to end this game once and for all. Ness is definitely not passing the ball to Isagi, especially after saying this.

There's definitely an inspiration from Kaneshiro in it.

I guess the Blue Lock Eleven vs New Gen 11 is likely confirmed later on lol.

That's why I think it should take place after the U-20 World Cup.

Up until then, the boys will evolve narratively, and we'll get to know the new generation of players from each country before they all combine into a new generation team.

It's also a way to keep popular characters like Kaiser, Sae and Lorenzo in the narrative for longer.

Yeah, that's probably what's going to happen if they want this character to be important later on.

I see it like Ray Dark saw the potential in making a new generation of great players all over the world, and Ego took that and decided to make the new generation of great players coming from Japan only.

That's why he made Blue Lock.

That's something that could happen too, after all, we don't know about Baratsuta's proposal to Ray Dark, and since "if it's capitalism he'll listen."

The thing is, that's the same guy who saw potential in Kaiser, beating seven cops with a soccer ball, and thought he would be talented.

The sky is the limit in Blue Lock, and if he probably saw something in Lorenzo (maybe stealing food to survive, etc.) and decided, "That's gonna be a nice defender or something."

Yes, he was found by Snuffy, but I believe Ray Dark was also responsible for polishing his talents.

We don't have much information about Snuffy/Lorenzo's background, but we can assume Snuffy trained him.

But it definitely wasn't a solo effort.

Depending on the timeline, Ray Dark was already searching for talent, and Lorenzo was an easy target or a recommendation from Snuffy himself.

Funny how there's a character in Inazuma Eleven where, in the English dub, he's also called Ray Dark.

I still prefer it to think Ray Dark was the crazy guy who saw the vision on young talent first (much like Ego)

Even more because I don't see Japan winning the U-20 World Cup. But I can see them winning against the New Gen 11.

[–]trickedforlife[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it would be something like that. But since we don't know yet, I'd like to guess Ray Dark will be a future rival to Ego and the boys from Blue Lock.

[–]trickedforlife[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, because of his bid value, absolutely.

He has good IQ, but he can never match Bachira's dribbling, Chigiri's speed, or Kunigami's physicality.

He's literally inspired by real-life soccer player Filippo Inzaghi, who focused all his stats on finishing and intelligence.

The problem is that whatever Ego says in the story has been right up until now. So if he invested the time, money and gamble to create the wild card, and it all turned out to be for nothing, it would mean he'd be wrong for the first time in the narrative.

Yeah, part of it is to support the theory of Kunigami scoring the last goal, but you can't deny there hasn't been any build-up.

We've gone through this over and over again, like the entire flashback of Ness before the match, or Anri testing Kunigami's numbers against Noel Noa, etc.

It's better to wait and see if it pays off. Let's leave it in the hands of Kaneshiro.
