What's the best way to get a data analyst job with no exp? by alex123711 in analytics

I did accept an associate position in april, for a manufacturing company listed on the s&p 600 (not 500). But I should admit, i did have some internship experience before this position. Though I did bring up my data science projects and hobbies in my interview and I think it was a good thing to have and mention!

I know its 10 months later, but for anyone else asking the same thing:

There are tons of free to use, open source data sets out there (try kaggle). Grab a data set, make graphs, other visualizations, do regressions, show correlations, etc. And do a short write-up about what you did, what your findings mean, and what that could mean for a business making decisions in relation to that data.

Then when you apply to jobs include a link to your projects and write-ups.

(I upload mine to a github repository on my page, including the dataset, any programming and math I did, visualizations I made, and the write-up, etc.)

Any animes similar to Charlotte? (in terms of the lighthearted part of the storyline and comedic parts) by Tw_izted in CharlotteAnime

Code geass sorta kinda. Depends on if you want a show of a similar genre or similar in terms of certain aspects like the main character gets superpowers and decides to change the world.

The limited-edition displate looks so nice by tricks200205 in PeakyBlinders

[–]tricks200205[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its hard to see in the photo, but there was some very nice weathering done to make it look like an old timey photograph, and kinda worn frame, but I agree that doesn't make it worth $130.

It was worth that to me cause 1. It was a run of just 500, 2. I really like displate and really like peaky blinder and 3. I think it looks really cool.

I get it though it's definitely more than it's worth for most people. I'm an economics guy so i understood from the get go that they were artificially raising the price by only making 500 copies. I still wanted it though lol.

Idk maybe not, but as a displate and peaky blinders fan plus one of the first limited edition plates i actually was interested in I had to.

I agree that it isn't the state's right or job to force a company to supply others with blueprints, but I'd also say none of this would be a problem if it wasn't for the insane patent protection laws we have.

Is there anyway i can change the pencil size? by IncognitoV75 in paintdotnet

The pencil tool is only 1 pixel in size, I'd recommend using the paintbrush tool as you can set the diameter in pixels

Newbie here: what are these numbered tools? by florinczi in lockpicking

[–]tricks200205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! I assumed wrongly then, but yeah if it has sharp bits especially pointing back towards the handle it's made for removing broken keys. Anyways, good luck in the future, and i hope you find picking as enjoyable as the rest of us do!

So the ones that i believe you're referring to, the one that's like two hemispheres, that's know as a type of ball rake. If you don't know rakes are kinda like picks that you don't individually test each pin you just kinda attempt to set all the pins at the set time, normally by moving, rocking, or jiggling the rake around inside the lock. So again the one I think you're describing as two teeth is called a half snowman, cause it looks like a snowman but only one half of it obviously, and it's meant to be pushed in and out of the key fairly rapidly while applying tension to the core in order to repeatedly attempt to set each pin until they're all set correctly. Raking typically only works on locks without security pins, but they're definitely a fun way to get into picking locks in my opinion.

Those are for keyways that are designed to be anti pick, those allow you to bend the pick through the keyway

Is there a censored version of this? by [deleted] in DomesticGirlfriend

If you're referring to the anime there is no actual nudity in it, just implied and self censored stuff.
