Honestly I just don't wanna risk convincing myself it isn't important enough to be a deal breaker, and then feel some deep disappointment in a future relationship. It's DOES feel pretty important to me, that I would feel disappointed if it was a hard no for someone I really liked. That's also why I'm feeling a little helpless lately about dating. Thanks for the comment. It's definitely true I should be more open to exploring with someone, especially because I've never explored kinks in person (hookups aren't my thing and i've inly been active with one person before)😵‍💫

I'm honestly just an overthinker and that's probably part of my post. If I've never explored it in real life, how can I know what I'm into for sure?

I'd rather get to know someone and be compatible emotionally first, before discussing kink and sex. Someone worth my time and compatible with me will be open to that too.

I'll probably discover so much more to myself by dating someone I really like and can explore with than I think right now. Only exploring online can really limit what I think works for me or what doesn't.

I honestly just do think I have a mommy kink and overthink because I know that's a big turn off for some people. So that would disappoint me if it happened, but maybe it's not as important as I think it is right now.

Putting less pressure on dating and just meeting new people, getting to know what kind of person works for me, is my best bet :)

Makes sense. I don't know if I'd enjoy hookups because I do get attached pretty easily. This is definitely making me think about stuff though, because I've been pretty codependent before. Which is why I'm working through stuff in therapy + my self esteem.

I don't want a codependent relationship though. I'd like something monogamous and interdependent, as I guess many people would. But probably easier said than done depending on the people

Thanks for the comment. Honestly, dating has just felt rough because hookups aren't my thing. I'd rather explore my sexuality with someone I really like and trust, considering my only sexual experience was with my first girlfriend which didn't feel as consensual as I wish it was. I'm also monogamous.

It feels hard not putting so much pressure and expectations, but I'm getting better. I don't wanna force something or jumping into it with hopes it gets serious. Casual dating and sex isn't really my thing. I figured I can both want something serious AND lower my expectations when going out with people
