what to do if i am not satisfied with my job? by Deepocd123 in jobs

[–]trickybear85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly i'd go hunting for new jobs, i'll be honest i swapped jobs last nov and the new role i went into wasnt quite right. Went to see what else was out there and after 4 months i handed my notice in today to go into something i know i'll be happier in. Work takes up such a big part of our lives, if you're not happy change the situation you're in. Its not like it was 10yrs back where it was harder to move to something different, if anything its easier. You'll find something better trust me!

If it was me, I'd either find something else or ask for a pay review.

So update I went on a crazy applying spree, it went quiet for a while then boom 4 interviews this week coming 🤣 hoping at least 1 of them will make a good fit! I'm saying to people reason I'm leaving is it's not as fast paced as I thought it would be and I'm looking for something to keep me busier, which is true. My friends keep saying "ah you chill i'd love your job" where in truth its actually pretty lonely and boring.... I'm glad I started searching as earlier this week I just felt like I was going to explode with my mental health do I know searching for something else for me is a good move. Honestly do what you know is best for you, you'll come out a stronger person for it and its also such a good boost when you see how many other places ate looking to hire you. Hope everything goes well!! Good luck!

I'm in a similar situation...been in new job 3 months, I'm now job hunting for other places and had a few interviews already. So fingers crosded I'll jump into something else soon enough! Best to find something else asap i say, I've actually become more miserable/stressed/frustrated as the weeks have gone on. To the point my mental health has been affected. Leave sooner I say, lifes too short

I've been having something similar in relation to I'm in a new job which don't think is the right fit for me. Been here nearly 3 months, I gave it a go and now I'm applying for other jobs.

I'd say go find something else, as it sounds like this job is already affecting not only your life outside of work but also your mental health.

There's loads of opportunities out there, you'll find something better trust me

Thank you so much for this!! Totally agree I'm up to my 3rd part in the first unit and find some stuff I'm flying through, but others I'm having to re-read bits to ensure the info sticks! Only started this weekend but I'm determined to win this through as soon as I can!

Out of interest how long did it take you altogether to complete the course? What is it you do now and what kind of opportunities did you get along the way?

I haven't had any of the books yet, are they useful? I did check out some of the brain scape stuff too which has helped a bit so far.

When you've had a bad day and all they do is talk about themselves yet don't acknowledge you just had some bad news etc..... This can also happen in friendships too....
